(Noriko's pov)

"See that wasn't so bad?" I said to Gaara who had gone through the whole day socializing. He didn't respond as he looked forward. We were currently getting ready to exit the building of the school. We suddenly heard giggling and looked behind us to see some girls smiling flirtatiously at Gaara.

"And it seems you're becoming popular quick." I muttered dreadfully.

"Should I be worried?" He asked me fretfully. I laughed as I faced his slightly mortified expression. "Yes and No. If you can ignore getting mobbed by girls everyday then no, but at least people will want to be your friend." I answered.

"Will you still be my friend?" he asked seriously. I raised an eyebrow dubiously before chuckling. I looked back to the front and put my hands behind my head.

"Yea. It'll be a hassle to hang out but it'll take a lot to get rid of me." I reassured, sticking my nose in the air while pointing at myself proudly. I didn't know that a simple response like that had earned a smile from the red head.

We made it outside, talking still, but when we reached the exit I heard squealing and looked to see what was going on. One I realized, a doomed aura surrounded me. Just outside the gates was the Duckass himself. Modeled perfectly on his car hood for all of his fangirls to drool about.

"Sasuke Uchiha." I heard Gaara mutter spitefully. I sighed a bit as I scratched the side of my head. "That guy is going to kill me." I murmured. "Why?" Gaara asked with a raised eyebrow. "That's the friend I was talking about." I revealed sadly, trudging forward to my death.

Sasuke saw Gaara and I together and his eyes narrowed as he walked forward and snatched me away from Gaara. "Why are you following Nori?" He growled. I rolled my eyes, not in the mode for his moods. I struggled slightly until successfully getting out of his grasp.

"Calm down duckbutt. Gaara and I are friends." I explained simply. His eyes snapped directly at me. They were slightly angry and confused. I felt a bad shiver run down my spine, but did not falter. "What?" he asked through gritted teeth.

I then noticed Sasuke becoming tense and that he had bags under his eyes. "We're friends" I repeated, a little more slowly. A warning feeling bubbled in my stomach but I ignored it completely.

"I thought I told you to stay away from him." He seethed, trying to hold his anger down. I gave Sasuke a slightly angered yet challenging expression. "You're not my mom Sasuke. Besides, he's not that bad." I retorted defensively while crossing my arms.

I saw Sasuke's jaw clench as he glared at me causing my eyes to widen. He's never been this mad at me ever.

"Fine then." He spat venomously as he walked into his car. "Where are you going?!" I shouted . "Away from you," he spat and sped down the road from the school leaving his depressed fangirls to glare at me and stomp away. I sighed annoyed.

'What the hell is up with him' I thought as I frustratingly scratched the sides of my head. "Gahhh!"

"I'm sorry" Gaara suddenly said behind me. I turned to him confused, my anger slowly drifting away but still there. "It seems that you and I being friends is causing you to ruin your bond. I think it's best we stopped being friends" he stated slightly sad.

"No. It has nothing to do with you. Sasuke is just an ass. Don't worry. Listen, I'll call you later. Maybe we can do something tomorrow since it's Saturday" I smiled reassuringly. He hesitantly nodded. I waved and then ran off. I decided to let Sasuke cool down and go to the bakery first.

As I walked down the sidewalk I noticed I felt a bit lightheaded. But it disappeared just as swiftly as it came. I placed my hand on my head, my eyebrows furrowing. 'I'm not sick...' I trailed off. I shook my head gently before rushing down the walkway to get to my job.

When I got there, Tori wast there so I would most likely be allowed to leave on time today. "Hey Tori!" i waved happily. She welcomed me and waved back. "Where's Miss Mei?" I asked taking off my beanie and placing it in the back along with my bag.

"Oh, miss Mei is in the back doing something. She asked if you could start rearranging the new pastries so they'll be on display." she informed me. "Okay!"

When I finished up that chore, I went and did a few more things before all I had left was sweeping.

I started sweeping the shop when there weren't any customers coming in and while I was sweeping I noticed my vision blurring a bit and I felt dizzy. I dropped the broom and fell against the side of the counter.

I held my head in my hand as I winced, trying to get my vision straight.

"Noriko!" Tori's concerned voice shouted as she ran to me and crouched beside me.

My body felt hot as I panted slightly. "Noriko are you okay?" she asked concerned. "I feel...hot...and dizzy" I muttered in slight pain as I held my head. She felt my forehead and gasped.

"You're burning up. Miss Mei!" She shouted frantically as she let me lean on her shoulder. I closed my eyes trying to get rid of the major headache coming up.
