(Noriko's pov)
I tried paying for our tickets into the movies since Gaara paid for almost everything today but we ended up in an argument. He tried pushing me away from the counter so I couldn't give my money but I wasn't about to give up.
I jabbed him in the stomach causing him to hold it in pain while I pushed through and gave the clerk the money. "Two tickets," I ordered. He smiled and handed me the tickets while I looked at Gaara in triumph. He sighed and shook his head while we both walked in.
We waited in line for the next 5 minutes and we got to the front the male clerk stared at me with seductive eyes. I ignored his stare as I began to order my food. "How bout you order me and we can go on a date." He flirted. I made a disgusted face and was about to say something till I felt an arm be put around my shoulders and looked to see Gaara.
"Is there a problem here?" he asked in a cold voice as he gave the male clerk a slight glare. The clerk stiffened. He shakily handed me my order and money.
"N-No...please enjoy your movie." He stuttered.
Gaara lead me away and I looked up at him with a smirk and raised an eyebrow.
"How do you do that?" I asked him and he let out a small smirk as he looked down at me. "It comes with the perks of being me." He boasted. I rolled my eyes as I bumped him away from me and heard his rare laugh.
When we got into the theater it was already dark and I could barely see even with the lights. "I can barely see." I quietly complained.
I felt a hand slip through mine and hold it tight. "Just follow me." Gaara's soft voice said near my ear as he tugged me away through the dim room. We took seats above everyone and were left alone.
When we sat down Gaara never once let my hand go causing me to blush in the darkness but tried not to be awkward about it.
The movie was pretty good till it got to a make out part and it became awkward. I glanced at Gaara to see he had his eyes closed. I laughed a bit to myself. 'He's so innocent' I thought. I took off my beanie and placed it on his head.
It covered his eyes. He slightly lifted it up to see me. I gave him a closed eye grin while I chuckled slightly. He laughed quietly as well.
We sat for the rest of the movie till finally, it finished. He and I headed out of the movie and teased a few parts of the movie that we found hilarious. We walked down the dimly lit sidewalks. The night began rising quickly.
Our hands were still interlocked but we paid almost no mind to it at all. Becoming used to the warmth that spread through it. I then shivered remembering I forgot my jacket yet again.
"You're cold?" he asked me. "I'll be fine," I assured him. He stopped and removed his hand from mine and held his jacket out to me. "N-No it's fine you'll be cold too! Besides, it's my fault I always forget." I tried refusing.
"I'd feel bad if I was the only one keeping warm." He said as he came around me and forcefully put the jacket on me. I sighed as I ravished in the warmth. "Thanks" I muttered.
He nodded and we both went back to walking. When we got to in front of the closed zoo I noticed his car already there.
He was about to go but I grabbed his arm. "I have a better way to travel," I said as I pulled him away. He stayed silent as we ran across the sidewalk and into the lit up streets. I smiled when I saw a trolley. I told him to jump on.
When we got on it I laughed a bit as I looked at the lit up buildings that passed by before taking a seat. We enjoyed the passing scenery.
We sat in silence, just listening to others who talked by us or zoned out. I placed my head on his shoulder to be more comfortable. I could feel his gaze on me but ignored it as I smiled at the beautiful passing lights that were being set up for Christmas.
After awhile we ended up near my house and we got off the trolley. We ended up stopping back at the coffee shop. I smiled as I took his jacket off and handed it to him.
"I still have to give you back your other one," I said sheepishly. He shook his head as he pushed it back to me. "Keep both." He said. I looked at him unsurely. "Are you sure, they look a bit expensive? " I said hesitantly.
He nodded to me. I smiled as I put it back on. "Thank, Gaara. I had fun today." I said. "Me too." He said with a slight smile. He looked up to see he was still wearing my beanie. He took it off and put it on my head.
"It looks better on you," he said smilingly. I chuckled.
"I'll see you next week 'kay?" I said getting ready to leave. "Yea," he agreed with a soft tone. I turned around and began walking through the crowd of people that passed me.
(Gaara's pov)
I smiled to myself as I watched Nori walk away. She was definitely something special to me. She was the thing I've been looking for forever, a friend. I sighed happily as I walked inside the coffee shop waiting for my car to come.
