Part 14: Friends

(Noriko's pov)

I yawned as I approached my apartment. Suddenly my phone began to ring. I sighed as I picked it up and answered. "Hello?" I tiredly said into the phone.

"Nori. Finally you've picked up. Listen we need you to come. Sasuke is being moody and is drinking again" Suigetsu said slightly frantic with a tired sigh at the end of his ramble. Just then a car pulled up with a gang member driving.

I groaned slightly as I massaged my temple. "I'm coming right now" I growled slightly as I got into the black car. I hung up while clenching my teeth slowly and let out a deadly aura of annoyance.

Right when the gang member pulled up I got out of the car and walked into the door and saw Suigetsu leaning near the door with his arms crossed.

"Where is he?" I asked exasperated. "Cherry blossom garden" he pointed simply without opening his eyes. I swiftly walked into the direction of the cherry blossom garden. When I looked out the door I saw Sasuke leaning against the pole while holding a sake bottle.

I let out a breath before walking over. He didn't notice me because he was staring up at the shining moon. "Hoi Sasuke, isn't it your bed time?" I asked jokingly as I walked over and sat by him.

"What're you doing here idiot?" he asked a bit angrily. I clicked my tongue. "Don't tell me you're still upset-"

"I told you to stay away from him." He growled as he faced me with a slight glare. I sneered back as I crossed my arms and gave him a glare also," And I told you you're not my goddamn mother!" I hissed angrily.

We both huffed and looked away from each other. We stayed quiet before I sighed defeated.

"I'm sorry." I said slightly stubbornly. "I know you were just telling me to stay away because you wanted to keep me safe. But you can't control me Sasuke, Gaara isn't all that bad and we've become friends" I said honestly.

He was quiet before sighing. "Me...too" he said hesitantly. I looked at him slightly amused.

"I didn't mean to yell at you or handle it the way I did" he said genuinely sorry. I smiled a bit then laughed.

"Now that that's over will you tell me the real reason you're acting like a bitch on her period?" I asked. He stiffened a bit as he twirled his sake bottle between his fingers, not answering me. I started to grow aggravated and rolled my eyes.

"Sasuke I am your best friend. I had to carry your fat ass to the back of your car, drive your drunk off the boat butt home, and on top of that you made me and everyone else worried! The least you can do is be honest!" I lectured but got no response.

"Hmph, fine then. You sit while I guess" I said as I began to put a phony thinking face on.

"You're being accused of having an affair with a cockatoo?" I said jokingly and he got and anime vein while closing his eyes.
