I tried ignoring the embarrassment that shot through me like wild fire. I wore a green elf costume that was in the form of a dress and fell to my knees while I wore elf ears. "This is so embarrassing" I muttered depressingly as a gloomy aura surrounded me.
"Oh cheer up! It's not that bad!" Nanami laughed. She wore the same design dress like me but was for Santa Claus so she wore a red hat and held a present in her hands. She had a bright aura that surrounded her.
Several people were attracted to her, but her Uchiha mate behind her scared off most males with his killer glare.
I groaned in response. 'Santa all I want for Christmas is to not be here....' I thought as an anime tear came out of my eye. My problem wasn't getting customers. It was wearing a dress. I looked way to...Feminine.
"Do I have to wear this," I whined as I faced the smirking Sasuke.
"You should be paying attention to the customers instead of me," he said waving me off. I gritted my teeth as I turned back to the passing crowd with a small blush on my cheeks.
'Why can't it be duck season,' I thought darkly in my head. I sighed, closing my eyes and finding my inner peace. 'C'mon Nori, as soon as I finish this the soon I can change and rub it in Uchiha's face,' became my new motivation.
I opened my eyes as my face slightly cringed as I tried forming a smile till finally I perfected it. I shyly waved and smiled at people as they passed by. The costume grabbed the attention of a few male customers and children though.
I have a total of 25 customers, just 5 more. I then heard the distinctive sound of laughing and mockery. When I turned to the side I saw three faces that I was not looking forward to seeing.
There was Sakura who was on crutches while wearing sticks on her nose to probably keep it straight and a couple of bruises still on her face, Matsuri who looked fine but you could see faint bruises, and Ino who looked fine since she knocked out when I pushed her to the wall.
"Well would you look at that. Your whore business is spreading?" Sakura snickered.
"Hey Sakura, what happened to your face? It looks better then ever" I countered nonchalantly while she glared at me. The three then looked behind me and saw Sasuke. "Tch, you're so pitiful wearing shit like that in front of Sasuke, you're so desperate" Ino sneered.
I glared at them feeling annoyance bubble in me.
"Don't make me rearrange your face too pig" I threatened angrily and they all flinched but kept glaring at me. "Nori, is everything alright?" Nanami asked seriously as she came over.
"Just fine." I spat.
She turned to the girls and frowned. "You should all leave here before things get ugly." She warned. Nanami was like an older sister so she'd always get protective over me. And trust me, when she was angry there was no holding her back.
The girls saw her deadly glare and scoffed as they walked away trying to be prideful. I sighed as I ran my hand through my hair.
"I'm sorry I can't do this," I apologized as I quickly went in the back to change but Sasuke was standing in my way.
"You didn't bring in 30 customers yet," he said crossing his arms with an eyebrow raised. "Lost my appetite I guess" I shrugged as I walked past him. When I got back to my normal clothes I started walking away from the stand.
I pulled my beanie down to try keeping my face being seen. I was getting far but I heard Sasuke calling my name and turned to face him. "What now duckbutt?" I asked with a raised eyebrow.
"Hn, I pick the place," he said walking past me. My eyes widen in shock.
Sasuke has never openly given me a meal without a fight, this was the first. I smiled as I ran and jumped on his back causing him to yelp. "You do care!" I laughed with a teasing voice. "Tch! In your dreams, get off!" he yelled while trying to shake me off.
I shook my head defiantly with the same grin. "I'm tired from working all day while you sit on your fat ass. I demand a piggy back ride!" I demanded childishly while sticking out my tongue. He sighed as he put his hands under my leg to carry me properly.
"You're so irritating" he said under his breath. I chuckled as I placed my chin on his shoulder. "But you love me" I said in a sing-song voice. "Hn" he grunted.
It started to get late so the venders went ahead and started lighting up the place with paper lanterns or lights of their own. We saw the rest of the crew but they were doing their own thing so we did our own thing too.
I was currently enjoying a dingo stick that Sasuke bought for me.
"How are your knees?" Sasuke asked me, still carrying me on his back. "Ah, they healed. They still get sore and there are scabs but other then that they're fine," I answered with a closed eye grin.
"Why were you concerned?" I teased as I leaned forward a bit more to see his face. He glanced at me before turning back to the front. "Your breath stinks" he said bluntly. I blushed then grinded my teeth.
I pinched his back causing him to jerk in surprise but he kept a strong grip on me. He glared at me as I put on a closed eye smile then gave him a peace sign. He sighed as he shook his head and continued on walking through the festivities.
I kept laughing before my laughter soon turned to soft giggles. Being bored I leaned my head back and I looked up to see the stars. I absentmindedly lifted my dingo stick to my mouth as i bit one off the stick.
