Chapter 6: Meows & Face Plants

In L.A.

9:00 Monday morning

Jai's POV

     I woke up today to see that Bookie (my cat) is acting really strange and meowing at me a lot. I scheduled an appointment for her to get a check-up. I went downstairs to see Preston making breakfast. Not wearing a shirt. Just pajama pants. I couldn't help but stare at his PERFECTLY toned abs. He looked over at me and said, "Good morning."      I went over to Kristin's room and knocked on the door and she mumbled, "Come in." I walked in and sat on her bed and told her that breakfast was ready. She sat up immediately and said, "Last one in the kitchen has to do the dishes!" She took off running down the hallway and I tried to grab her but I missed and tripped and fell on my face. She stopped and came running back to me to see if I was okay. I told her I was okay. I got up and Kristin started laughing her head off at me falling. I glared at her and she came over to me and gave me a hug. I held out my arms to her and she did the same and I got closer to her and then pushed her out of my way and said, "Later loser!" I got to the kitchen first and she got there and glared at me so I just stuck my tongue out at her.

1 hour later

     Kristin and I are sitting in her room chatting while watching Fairy Tail. Preston is at work. So it's just us. We're just talking about life, things that bug us, and stuff like that. It's the perfect time to tell her that I like Preston. "Umm, Kristin?" "Yeah?" she asks me, " I like Preston." I said. She started jumping up and down and squealing. "OH MY GOD! YAY! I LIKE HIM, TOO!" she said excitedly. I'm SO relieved. Now we can talk about about him and how cute he is.
