Chapter 11: Discounts

     I'm organizing some new 5 Seconds of Summer t-shirts that just came in to the store when I feel a pair of giant arms wrapped around my stomach, hugging me from the back. "Hey babe. How's your first day so far? I turn back to see Preston. My coworker, Emma, just dropped the box of Doctor Who pajama pants she was holding. She ran over to me. "I didn't know you had a boyfriend, Jai!" she said squealing. "Yup, he's mine." Preston said biting my ear. "Stop it Preston! I'm trying to work!" I said. "Sorry." Preston said, mocking me. I turned to him and glared at him. "You guys are SUCH a cute couple!!!" Emma squealed some more. "Preston, let me finish putting these shirts away then we can go grab some lunch. Okay?" I said. "Okay." He said.

     "Preston, I gotta go punch out quick then we can go." I gave him a peck on the lips then I went into the break room. I punched out and walked out. "Let's go." I said grabbing his hand.

     We went to Starbucks to get lunch. We held hands the whole walk through the mall there. We didn't think anything about it. We got to Starbucks ordered our food and sat down. We held hands across the table. We got a couple of stares but we didn't mind. They called our name and Preston got up to go get our food but I quickly grabbed his hand and we went to get the food together. I sat down and he came up to me and whispered in my ear, "You look sexy in that beanie." He sat down and I blushed. "Everyone's staring at us because their jealous of how cute we are together." He said. I blushed even harder.

     We finished lunch and went back to Hot Topic where I went back into the break room and came out to see Preston browsing the anime stuff. "I already have that." I said hugging him. I gave him a peck on the cheek and said, "But I don't have that." I said gesturing towards a Kiki's Delivery Service bag with her cat, Jiji on it. He grabbed it and also grabbed a Totoro t-shirt. "That's not my size. And I already have it." I said to him. "I know you already have it and I'm buying for myself." He said. "Ooh, so you did like it?" I asked him. "Yeah, I actually LOVE it!" he said. He went to check out so I went to the cash register and said, "Would you like my discount?" "Nah. I wanna show that the love of my life actually means more to me than a stupid discount." I blushed. He smiled. Damn it, he got me again with his shimmering blue eyes and sparkling white teeth. Damn he's hot.
