Chapter 15: Fast-Forward

5 months later-December

     The 3 kittens that we were selling now have nice new homes. The one with the freckles went to Emma from Hot Topic. The black one with green eyes went to a family with 3 kids. The last one went to Olivia, Kristin's friend. I think they'll have good lives. Kristin is now spending most of her time at Sawyer's house. Preston lost his job at the moving company he was working for. He is now working at Aeropostale at the mall across from Hot Topic. I was moved up a couple rankings in Hot Topic. I'm now 2 spots away from manager. Nothing really exciting other than that stuff has happened.

Jai's POV

     It's Kristin's birthday today, so Preston and I took the day off of work and we are going to get our nails done, go shopping and have a spa day. Preston woke up around 7:00 this morning to cook her some pancakes and bacon for her. His birthday present to her is proposing to her. The plan is while we are out having our fun day, Sawyer is going to stay home and prepare the house for her. It's 9:30 right now and Preston and Kristin are watching T.V. in the living room. "Good morning, birthday girl!" I say walking into the living room hugging her. "Good morning, babe." I say walking over to Preston and sitting next to him and cuddling with him. "Good morning, handsome." he said. "I haven't told her about the fun day out yet." he whispered in my ear. "What are you whispering about over there?" Kristin asked us. "I was just telling him that he looks sexy with bed head." Preston said. "Mhmm." Kristin said.

     "I can't believe that Sawyer's sick today." Kristin said. "I know I'm pretty disappointed, too." I said. "Yeah, it's a real bummer." Preston said. "Well, Kristin, Preston and I would like to take you to a fun day out for your birthday." I said to Kristin. "Really?!?!" Kristin asked. "Yeah, we would like to take you to get our nails done, go to a spa, and go shopping." Preston said. "Okay, well when are we going?" Kristin asked us. "Whenever you want my majesty." Preston said, bowing. "Okay, let me go get some makeup on and take a shower and get ready." She said getting up.

     I kissed Preston and said I had to go take a shower. I went into my room and took my pajamas off and Preston walked in. I tried to cover myself up with my clothes but he came in and said, "I've seen you naked before, remember?" he said. "Yeah, I remember." I said. I walked into my bathroom and I got in the shower and Preston came into the bathroom and got in the shower with me.

     "Kristin, You ready, yet?" I yelled. "No not yet!" she said. I was wearing a grey sweater with a beanie and a a pair of skinny ripped jeans and combat boots. Preston came out wearing some dark blue skinny jeans, some hi-top shoes, black sunglasses, a t-shirt with a big red X on it, and a dog tag necklace. "You look handsome." Preston said to me. "You don't look too bad yourself." I said. I went over to him and kissed him on the cheek. "I like your stubble. It makes you look sexy." I said feeling his stubble. "Thanks." he said.
