This is basically a pt 2 of the previous awfc one, so just a heads up, if you ain't read that. I mean, it probably doesn't matter much, but if you want context, either go remind yourself or read it if you ain't.

Y/n's pov.

So, theoretically, how would you go about telling your overprotective team that has only just stopped being majorly overprotective that you have a girlfriend?

Because, theoretically, I may or may not have a girlfriend, and I really don't know how to tell anyone.

I feel like they are all gonna overreact, whether that may be from excitement or anger. I don't know.

It's not like anyone's ever been against me dating, but I've never had to do this before.

It's quite scary.

I think I have an idea, but it might be a long shot, and she might get interragated a lot.

We should probably see what she says first.

I message her to meet me at our spot in ten, and she agrees instantly. Must be good company.

So, these days, I don't even have to ask to leave the house, I can just go. I call that progress.

I did text Katie, though, telling her I that I'm going on a walk. It is not entirely true, but she doesn't need to know that.

As I'm walking to our spot, I can't help myself, but overthink everything. Literally everything. From my teammates' opinions on my relationship to what song I should learn on guitar next. Don't know why that needs so much thought, but it does.

'Hey babe.' Chloe says, standing up to pull me into a hug.

'Hiya darling.' I smile, hugging her back.

We sit down underneath our tree and start talking. I don't mention my plan straight away because I don't want it to look like that's all I wanted to see her for.

'Any good films you need to tell me about?' She asks, knowing I get annoyed when I forget to tell her about one.

'Yeah, actually. It's called disturbia. I think you'd like it. It's got the same guy from holes.' I explain.

'Oh yeah. You might have to watch it tonight. What's it on?' She asks, looking up at me, her head in my lap.

I don't know when she got there but oh well. I'm not complaining.

'Netflix.' I smile down at her.

I'm glad she takes an interest in my interests because it gives us something to talk about. Otherwise, we'd have to sit in silence because I'm shit at pretending to give a shit about anything else. She doesn't mind, though. I hope.

'Anyway, I was wondering if you'd want to come to our match on Sunday? I can get you a ticket.' I look down with a hopeful expression.

'Of course I would, baby. Does this mean you want your team to know?' She asks, sitting up to look into my eyes.

'Yeah, I just didn't know how to tell them, so I thought it'd just be easier to pretend like they already know, and they can gather their one braincell and figure it out together.' I explain to her a slight smirk on my face.

'Sounds like a plan. As long as you protect me from being interragated.' She smirks back.

'No worries. I'll fend em off for ya.' I pretend to fight the air with an invisible sword earning a chuckle from Chloe.

'You're an idiot you know that?' She says, still chuckling.

'Yeah, and you love it.' I tell her with an innocent smile.
