Right, I don't know where this might go. I'm hoping I stay on track.

------

Y/n's pov.

I'm am so energetic, I think I'm physically shaking. But, I'm confused because I ain't even had a 50p energy. I've just gone mental.

'Babe, it's eleven o'clock at night. How can you possibly still be so awake.' Beth groans, sinking further into the sofa.

'I don't actually know. I'm quite concerned.' I tell her, my mouth moving faster than my brain, making me stumble on some words.

'Normally, this sends you to sleep.' She points to the tv which is playing the goonies.

'Yeah, I don't know what's going on.' I huff, whatever it is is pissing me off. I kind of wanted to sleep at some point tonight.

Myle jumps onto the sofa, seemingly having the same amount of energy as me.

'Relax Y/n/n, you're exciting Myle, she's had a long day, she needs to sleep.' Beth scolds me slightly.

My bloody bad.

'Relax darling, she's fine, look at her.' I smile, fussing our dog, making her even more excited.

'Now you're just winding her up on purpose.' She hits the side of my arm, making me chuckle.

Myle jumps up at me, resting her paws on my shoulders and starts licking my face, making me giggle.

I can see Beth looking at us with a soft smile. I knew she loved it, really.

'Right you two, if you're not going to calm down, I have an idea.' She signals for us to follow her.

Never a good idea.

And by the look on Myle's face, she knows that too.

Smart little doggy.

We reluctantly follow Beth, who leads us to the back door.

'You're not gonna make us sleep outside, are you?' I ask. Surely she wouldn't.

'No, but since you've both got so much energy, why don't you run around for a bit.' Oh yeah, I forgot about this.

She used to make me run around or kick a ball around when u couldn't sleep after drinking a load of energy drinks.

That was when I was proper bad with em. I'd be drinking like seven a day or some shit. Maybe more.

'Alright.' I smile at her, opening the door for me and Myle.

It's summer, so it's not too cold outside, and it's almost the perfect temperature. I wish it could just stay like this forever.

We can't kick a football around cause Myle likes barking at them, but I do find a tennis ball that I can kick.

She only barks at football for some reason. I don't know why.

Beth stands in the door frame, watching fondly as I kick the tennis ball for Myle to fetch. Honestly, the things that make her happy are so simple.

I'm glad that I'm part of what ages her happy, though. It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

'No Myle, you're supposed to bring it back to me, not go over there.' I frown, walking over to her and taking the tennis ball from her mouth.

She follows me back to where I was, and I kick it for her again. This time, it brings it back.

'See, it's not hard.' Beth chuckles at my antics, but let's be carry-on.

All of a sudden, it starts raining. The nice kind of rain that smells good and gets you soaked.
