Unknown Location, Time Unknown
Toji Fushiguro awoke with a start, his senses reeling. The last thing he remembered was the intense battle, the adrenaline coursing through his veins, and the darkness that had swallowed him whole. He had died—of that, he was certain. But as he opened his eyes, he found himself lying in a small, unfamiliar room, the soft light of dawn filtering through a nearby window.
He sat up slowly, his muscles aching but responsive. His body felt different—stronger, more agile. Glancing around, he took in his surroundings: a simple bed, a wooden dresser, and a mirror on the wall. He swung his legs over the side of the bed and stood, approaching the mirror with cautious curiosity.
The reflection staring back at him was familiar yet different. He was younger, perhaps in his late teens, his features sharp and his eyes as intense as ever. He reached up, touching his face, half-expecting it to be a dream. But the reflection moved with him, confirming the reality of his situation.
"What the hell...?" he muttered, his voice a low growl.
Toji stepped away from the mirror, his mind racing. How was this possible? Had he been reincarnated? And if so, where was he?
Determined to find answers, Toji began to explore the small house he found himself in. It was sparsely furnished, with little to indicate who had lived there. He found a set of clothes that fit him well—a simple black t-shirt and white troursers—along with a pair of boots. He dressed quickly and stepped outside, ready to face whatever awaited him.
Kuoh Town, Early Morning
The town was quiet in the early morning light, the streets empty and the air cool. Toji walked with purpose, his senses heightened. Everything felt both familiar and alien at the same time. The architecture, the technology—it was different from the world he knew, yet there were similarities he couldn't ignore.
As he wandered the streets, Toji's mind began to piece together his situation. He had a new life, a new body, and a new world to navigate. But he was still Toji Fushiguro, and he would adapt as he always had.
Several Weeks Later
Toji spent the next few weeks acclimating to his new life. He found an abandoned building on the outskirts of town and made it his home, using his skills to gather resources and establish a base of operations. He trained rigorously, pushing his new body to its limits and honing his combat abilities.
Despite the strangeness of his situation, Toji felt a sense of purpose. This world was different, but it had its own threats and challenges. He discovered that supernatural beings existed here as well—but he didn't knew what yet. The lack of knowledge fueled his determination to survive and thrive in this new reality.
One Evening, Toji's Hideout
Toji sat cross-legged on the floor of his hideout, surrounded by maps and notes he had collected. He had been investigating the local area, identifying key locations and potential threats. As he worked, a knock echoed through the building, startling him.
He approached the door cautiously, his hand on the hilt of a knife. He opened it to reveal a small, small envelope lying on the ground. Frowning, he picked it up and brought it inside.
Opening the envelope, Toji found a letter. He unfolded it, reading the message inside:
"Toji Fushiguro,
Your target is Yuuma Amano, eliminate her and the payment will be generous
-A"
Toji was shocked, someone in this world knew him and his abilities and decided to contact him. At first he thought about giving up the job because it might be a trap, but then he became excited for some reasons. He decided to clear the target and see if the reward would be as generous as the author of the message wrote.
And that's how Toji saved Hyoudou Issei's life.
