Evening, Kuoh Academy
Toji Fushiguro walked through the empty corridors of Kuoh Academy, his steps echoing in the stillness. He had received a message from Akeno Himejima, asking him to come to the Occult Research Club. Despite his natural inclination to avoid unnecessary interactions, curiosity had gotten the better of him.
As he approached the clubroom door, Akeno greeted him with her usual warm smile. "Thank you for coming, Toji. Please, come in."
Toji nodded silently and followed her inside. The room was dimly lit, filled with an assortment of mystical artifacts and books. Rias Gremory, the club's president, sat behind a desk, her crimson hair glowing softly in the light.
"Welcome, Toji Fushiguro," Rias said, her voice calm and composed. "I've been looking forward to meeting you."
Toji took a seat across from her, his eyes scanning the room. "You wanted to talk?"
Rias nodded. "Yes. We've noticed some unusual activity around town lately, and we were thinking that you were involved."
Toji raised an eyebrow. "Unusual activity? You mean something supernatural like you?"
Rias's eyes narrowed slightly, a hint of shock and curiosity in her gaze. "Yes, exactly. We've encountered fallen angels and other entities recently. We believe there's something bigger at play."
Toji leaned back in his chair, his expression unreadable. "I might have noticed a thing or two."
Rias smiled. "Good. It's important for us to understand what's happening. This town is under our protection, and we can't allow any harm to come to its inhabitants."
Toji remained silent, his mind racing. He wasn't one to trust easily, but there was something about Rias that made him feel she was sincere.
Rias reached into her desk drawer and pulled out a red card, sliding it across the table to Toji. "This is my calling card. If you ever need assistance or have information to share, use this."
Toji picked up the card, examining it briefly before slipping it into his pocket. "Thanks."
As Toji stood to leave, Rias's eyes followed him. "One more thing, Toji. Be careful. The supernatural world is dangerous, and we don't want any unnecessary casualties."
Toji gave a curt nod and exited the room, his thoughts a whirlwind of confusion and intrigue.
After Toji Leaves
Akeno approached Rias, her expression thoughtful. "What do you think, Rias?"
Rias leaned back in her chair, her fingers steepled. "He's strong, and he knows more than he's letting on. We'll need to keep an eye on him."
Akeno nodded. "And what about this mysterious sacred gear wielder? Is there any possibility of gaining him?"
Rias sighed softly. "Issei Hyoudou is still an unknown factor. But if we can secure his loyalty, he could be a powerful ally. For now, let's focus on understanding Toji and the threats he might be aware of."
Akeno smiled. "Understood. I'll keep a close watch on both of them."
Rias nodded, her mind already strategizing their next moves. The supernatural world was becoming more complex, and they needed to be prepared for whatever was coming.
