Late Night, Kuoh Town Park
The night was still and quiet, a stark contrast to the brutal battle that had taken place earlier. The park, now empty and bathed in moonlight, held a sinister silence. The only sound was the faint rustling of leaves as a gentle breeze swept through.
A crimson magic circle appeared on the ground, glowing ominously. From it emerged Rias Gremory, Akeno Himejima, Koneko Toujou, and Yuuto Kiba. They had sensed the intense energy of the battle and had come to investigate.
As they walked through the park, the scent of blood grew stronger. Koneko's nose twitched, and her eyes narrowed. "This way," she said softly, leading the group towards the source.
They soon came upon the lifeless body of Dohnaseek, the fallen angel's wings spread out grotesquely on the ground. His face was twisted in pain, eyes wide open in his final moments of terror.
Rias's face was grim as she took in the scene. "First Freed, now this. Someone is targeting the supernatural beings in this town."
Akeno knelt beside the body, examining the wounds. "These cuts... They're clean and precise. Whoever did this is highly skilled."
Kiba's expression was serious. "This isn't the work of an amateur. We need to find out who’s behind this before more lives are lost."
Koneko sniffed the air again, her eyes narrowing. "I smell something familiar. It's faint, but it’s the same scent I caught at school today."
Rias looked at her. "Can you track it?"
Koneko nodded. "I'll try. But we should be cautious. If this person could take down a fallen angel, they’re dangerous."
Rias agreed, her mind racing with possibilities. "We’ll keep looking into this. For now, let's return. We need to be prepared for whatever comes next."
Next Day, Kuoh Academy
The school day began as usual, with students milling about, chatting and preparing for classes. Toji Fushiguro walked through the halls, his expression as stoic as ever, but the bruises and cuts from his fight were visible. Despite his attempts to blend in, he drew curious glances from other students.
In class, Issei Hyoudou couldn't help but notice Toji's condition. During a break, he approached him with a mix of concern and curiosity. "Hey, Toji. What happened to you? You look like you got into a serious fight."
Toji shrugged nonchalantly. "Had a run-in with some trouble last night. Nothing I couldn't handle."
Issei's eyes widened. "Man, you should be careful. This town has some weird stuff going on."
Toji gave a noncommittal grunt, not offering any more details. Issei, sensing that Toji wasn’t in the mood to talk, nodded and returned to his seat, still puzzled.
Later That Day, School Corridor
As the day went on, Toji made his way through the crowded corridors. He kept to himself, trying to avoid drawing attention, but his bruised and battered appearance made it difficult.
Koneko Toujou was walking down the corridor, her senses heightened. As she passed by Toji, she suddenly stopped, her eyes widening. The scent of blood was unmistakable, and it was strong around him, so strong that she thought she would vomit.
She turned to look at him, her expression a mix of shock and suspicion. "You... You smell like blood."
Toji paused, meeting her gaze with an unreadable expression. "Sometimes I get into fights. It happens."
Koneko's eyes narrowed. "Not like this. This is different."
Toji didn't respond, his face remaining impassive. He knew that Koneko's senses were keen, and she could tell that there was more to his story. But he wasn't about to reveal his secrets to anyone, especially not here.
As Koneko watched him walk away, she felt a growing sense of unease. There was something dangerous about Toji, something that set him apart from the other students. She knew she needed to inform Rias about this new development.
