Morning, Hidden Sanctuary
Issei and Asia stood at the edge of the hidden sanctuary, bathed in the golden light that seemed to emanate from everywhere and nowhere. Michael, the leader of the angels, stood before them with a calm, yet commanding presence.
"Issei," Michael began, his voice resonating with a serene authority, "Today, you will begin your training. The path you walk is fraught with dangers, and you must be prepared."
Issei nodded, his determination evident. "I understand. What do I need to do?"
Michael gestured to a clearing surrounded by tall, ancient trees. "First, you must unlock your potential. Within you lies a sacred gear, a powerful artifact that will aid you in your battles. But to harness it, you must understand your own strength and the bond you share with it."
Afternoon, Training Grounds
The training began with a series of physical exercises designed to test Issei's endurance, strength, and agility. Michael watched closely, occasionally offering words of encouragement and guidance. Asia, meanwhile, practiced her healing abilities nearby, her gentle touch bringing life back to wilted flowers and injured animals.
After hours of intense training, Issei collapsed onto the grass, panting heavily. "I... I don't think I can do this," he gasped.
Michael approached, his expression kind but firm. "You have already come so far, Issei. Do not underestimate your own strength. Now, it is time to awaken your sacred gear."
Issei looked up at him, determination rekindling in his eyes. "How do I do that?"
Michael extended his hand, and a small, ornate box appeared in his palm. He opened it to reveal a shimmering crystal. "This is a catalyst. It will help you focus your energy and awaken your sacred gear. Hold it and clear your mind."
Issei took the crystal, feeling its warmth pulse through his fingers. He closed his eyes and concentrated, trying to sense the power within him. At first, there was nothing. But gradually, he felt a faint, pulsing energy deep within his chest.
"Good," Michael said softly. "Now, let that energy flow through you. Embrace it."
Issei focused harder, and the pulsing grew stronger, spreading through his body. Suddenly, a surge of power erupted from within him, and he opened his eyes to see a red gauntlet materialize on his left arm, its surface adorned with intricate patterns.
"This is your sacred gear," Michael explained. "The Boosted Gear. It has the power to double your strength at regular intervals. But remember, with great power comes great responsibility. Use it wisely."
Issei stared at the gauntlet, awe and excitement mingling in his expression. "I can feel it... It's incredible."
Michael nodded. "But your training is not yet complete. There is one more gift I wish to bestow upon you."
Evening, Shrine of Saint George
Michael led Issei and Asia to a small, ancient shrine nestled within the sanctuary. The air was thick with a sacred energy, and a statue of Saint George stood at the center, his sword raised in triumph over a dragon.
"This is the Shrine of Saint George," Michael said. "He was a legendary dragon slayer, and his blessing will enhance your power further."
Issei stepped forward, feeling a sense of reverence wash over him. Michael placed a hand on his shoulder and began to chant softly. The statue of Saint George glowed with a divine light, and Issei felt a surge of energy course through him, even stronger than before.
"With this blessing," Michael said, "you will be able to combat even the most powerful enemies like dragons. Use this gift to protect those you care about and to uphold justice."
Issei bowed his head, overwhelmed by the power he now wielded. "Thank you, Michael. I won't let you down."
Night, Hidden Sanctuary
The training continued into the night, with Issei learning to harness his new abilities. He practiced summoning and controlling the Boosted Gear, feeling its power grow with each use. Michael guided him through various techniques, emphasizing control and precision over raw strength.
Asia watched in awe, her admiration for Issei growing with each passing moment. "You're amazing, Issei," she said, her eyes shining.
Issei grinned, sweat dripping from his brow. "Thanks, Asia. I couldn't have done it without your support."
Michael smiled, pleased with their progress. "You have both come a long way. But remember, this is just the beginning. The path ahead will be difficult, but I have faith in you."
As the night deepened, Michael called for a break. The three of them sat by the shrine, the air filled with the sounds of nature and the faint glow of fireflies.
"Michael," Issei said, breaking the silence, "Why are you helping us?"
Michael looked at him, his expression serene. "Because I see great potential in you, Issei. You have a pure heart and a strong will. The world needs people like you to stand against the darkness. And Asia, your kindness and healing abilities are just as important. Together, you can make a difference."
Asia blushed, touched by his words. "We'll do our best."
Issei nodded, determination burning in his eyes. "Yeah. We'll fight for what's right."
Michael smiled. "That's all I can ask for. Now, get some rest. Tomorrow, we continue your training."
Morning, Kuoh Town
As the sun rose, Issei and Asia found themselves back in Kuoh Town, standing outside Issei's house. The white feather was gone, but the memory of their time in the hidden sanctuary remained vivid.
Issei looked at Asia, a new sense of purpose in his eyes. "We're ready for whatever comes next."
Asia smiled, nodding in agreement. "Yes, we are."
As they entered the house, Issei felt a renewed sense of confidence. He knew that with his new abilities and the blessing of Saint George, he was ready to face any challenge that lay ahead. And with Asia by his side, he felt like he could take on the world.
