Red Poppies

I sighed in annoyance after tasting the honey garlic glazed salmon I cooked for him. I was supposed to surprised him a breakfast in bed but the taste was kinda. . .

I am the worst.

Defeated, I decided to leave the food in vain and went outside to buy breakfast in the Dudley Cafe, just one pedestrian away from the hall.

"Breakfast set for three, please." I took my card out of my wallet.

"I would like to add croissants and sandwiches for three." I paid then left right after.

Do knocking have some personal grudge to me?

"Lex, I bought breakfast for you. Now, be a good girl and open this damn door or else I'll forcefully open it." I think yes. Because here I am, knocking at her door for I don't know how many minutes already.

"Sorry kung galit ka sa akin," I assumed. "Ililibre kita ng kahit anong gusto mo." Panghihikayat ko pa kahit alam ko naman na marami siyang pera.

She's not here. I thought because it looks like she was about to leave kanina when she saw me.

Napatigil ako nang marahas na bumukas ang pintuan ng kuwarto ni Mohan. He seems in panic so I immediately approached him and console him.

His body relaxed the moment he hugged me back. Due to his tall built, I had to tiptoe to kiss his jaw as I softly comb his hair. My little husky.

I waited for him to break our hug. I looked at Timmy who's innocently looking at us. I felt sad the moment he made sad noises and barks when I lifted him up.

Mohan buried his face onto my neck and renewed the hugged. "Naghintay kami sayo." My heart did a little jump from hearing his sentence.

I kissed the top of their head to express my feeling.

He pulled me inside the room and hugged me again, with Timmy this time. We stayed like that until Timmy started being frisky in my arms.

My man slightly groaned. I slightly pushed him away. "He's hungry." I dowelled upon seeing his grumpy face. Embarrassed due to the failed plan, I went into the kitchen to get dog food.

I wanted to say 'our baby is hungry' but was too shy to say it. It was just an impulsive thought anyway.

"Why did you not went to the hospital?" I asked as we prepare the breakfast together.

"I don't want to become a hindrance as well as I wanted to give you time to figure things out." Napatungo ako sa nagawa.

"Hey, hey, don't sweat about it, please. It's all good." He was about to hug me when he noticed a closed container on the counter. From the look of his face, I know that an idea was formed in his mind. He ran to get it!

Oh no. I forgot to hide it. So asar!

I am way faster than him so I was able to take it before he could. I made a face to tease him. "Ena," He warned but I couldn't care less.

He was stretching to probably warm himself up that's when I knew I had to run. We ran around in the whole room. Our baby joined us too. He caught me, and is now tickling me that is making me forcefully giggle. He placed Timmy on my face too!

"Woah, this looks nice!" I scowled and tried to steal it. But he was too tall!

I made a puppy face to lure him but he adverted his attention to the food. He took a spoonful bite of it!

Napangiti siya. Nahihiya naman akong yumakap sa kaniya. "Pero hindi iyan masarap, e." Binaon ko ang mukha ko sa dibdib niya sa sobrang kahihiyan.

"My baby made this for me, I will eat it."
