Ariana's POV

I'm walking up to the Highland office and see that I have some time before my meeting with Y/n. I notice that Coffee Bean Cafe is open and recall that Y/n's coffee yesterday was from there. I might have found out what kind of coffee she likes too. As I walk into the cafe, the girl behind the counter just looks at me with her mouth open. I can't help but giggle. "Hi," I say as I approach the counter.

"Oh... umm, hi. How can I help you?" the girl stammers. She's so adorable and clearly nervous. I glance at her name tag and see her name is Melina. I give her my order and Y/n's, and after paying, I sit down and check my phone. The interviews about the "Highland Heir" are all over the internet. I still can't believe she's the Highland Heir, and the fact that fate somehow crossed our paths again.

After I told my mom and Nonna about her yesterday, they couldn't believe it either. I did mention her nickname being Mac too. It took me by surprise and made me feel a little sad, but I'm handling everything better now. Seeing her walk into her office yesterday felt like the breath was knocked out of me. I couldn't stop staring at her. Besides her being so handsome and beautiful, there was just something about her that pulled me towards her, like gravity.

I pull a small mirror from my purse to check my hair and light makeup. Courtney thought I should style my hair like I had it when I hosted SNL and wore something similar too. I reapply my lip gloss when I hear my name being called by Melina at the counter.

"Order for Ariana," she says.

I smile, put my mirror away, and walk over to pick up the coffees, feeling a mix of excitement and nervousness about seeing Y/n again.

As I grabbed my coffees from the counter, I looked up. "Thanks, Melina," I said with a smile, reaching for some cash and placing it in her tip jar.

"Thank you so much," she said. "Oh, would you mind if I got a picture?" she asked shyly.

I smiled. "Absolutely," I said, setting my coffees down and taking a couple of pictures with her. "Make sure you tag me in those," I said with a smile. I glanced at the time and noticed I still had about 10 minutes until the meeting, which was perfect since I liked to be a little early.
