Downtown Los Angeles
Y/n's POV
I'm sitting here in the dressing room, watching Ariana's glam team work on her makeup. We're at the studio where they film Kelly Clarkson's show, and the place is buzzing. It's pretty wild to think about—never really figured I'd be hanging out backstage at something like this, but here I am.
This past weekend, we had our baby shower, and man, it was amazing. All our close friends and family were there, even Tess and Lily showed up. It felt like everyone we care about was under one roof, and the amount of love and support was something else. Made me realize just how lucky we are to have all these folks around us as we get ready for this new chapter.
And speaking of surprises, get this—Tess and Lily aren't just fucking; they've actually been dating for the past month. Who would've thought, right? Sometimes life just throws you a curveball when you least expect it. It's funny how things work out like that
It was great to see Maddox's parents, Amelia and Hank, too. They were over the moon when Courtney and Maddox told them they were going to be grandparents again. This was also their first time meeting Ariana, and they absolutely loved her. In fact, Amelia and Ari were already making plans to hang out again. I'm beyond thankful to have them as my godparents—couldn't have asked for better folks in my corner.
Everyone knew we were having a baby girl who's going to be have my intersex genes. They were all super excited—seriously, the gifts they brought for her were over the top. This little one is going to be so loved and spoiled, it's not even funny. But here's the thing—except for Ari's family, no one knew her name yet. So, at the shower, we revealed that her name would be Aurora, and that we'd call her Rora for short. Everyone was thrilled and loved the name. Of course, Frankie immediately claimed that he'd be calling his niece Rori and made it clear no one else was allowed to use that nickname but him.
Ari's really starting to show now—it's like her baby bump doubled in size over the weekend. This morning, when she revealed her bump to her team, they were all shocked; the looks on their faces were priceless. Of course, it didn't take long before everyone was crying right along with Ari. Then they rushed over to me, hugging me and showering me with congratulations, with a few sweet but harmless threats that I better keep taking good care of Ari. I reassured them that I absolutely worship the ground my lassie walks on.
Ariana and I decided that later today, after the show, we're finally going to announce that we're pregnant. She's tired of having to hide her baby bump in public and is ready to show the world just how happy she is—both about being pregnant and being by my side. It's been tough keeping it under wraps, especially with how excited we are, but now feels like the right time to let everyone in on our little secret.
This girl just keeps getting more perfect every day. The way she's embraced everything about this journey, from the early mornings to the unexpected cravings, just makes me love her even more. I've been in awe of how strong and beautiful she is, and I can't wait for the world to see just how incredible she is in this new role.
