Y/n's POV

Once again, I woke up alone; Ariana was gone. I looked under the covers and saw I was still naked, so it wasn't a dream. I rolled over and grabbed my phone, noticing missed calls from Maddox and Tess. There was also a text message from Ariana.

Ari: I'm sorry I wasn't there when you woke up. I do not regret what happened between us at all. It was perfect and everything I expected. However, I have some guilt. I wanted to end things with him before that happened between us. Please do not be upset with me. I'm talking to him whenever he gets back today. I'm ending things with him. Have a wonderful day, y/n. ❤️

Me: No worries. I don't regret it either. Just text me when you can and we can talk. Have a good day, Ari.

I smiled to myself as I got up and started getting ready for work. I texted Maddox to let him know I woke up late and wouldn't be in the gym. As I walked into my bathroom, I noticed Ari had left a message on my mirror. Seeing it made me smile and feel a little better about how things were unfolding.

I turned on the shower and brushed my teeth while waiting for the water to warm up. Glancing in the mirror, I noticed scratch marks on my abs and back from Ari. A smile tugged at my lips as I saw them, a reminder of our  night together. I rinsed my mouth, turned on some music, and stepped into the shower.

The warm water cascaded over me, and I couldn't help but replay the events of last night in my mind—the way Ari looked at me, the feel of her touch, and the way she felt around me. She was so tight, it was as if she was meant for me to be inside her. I let the water soothe my muscles as the music filled the bathroom, creating a comforting atmosphere.

After a few moments, I began to wash, the scent of my soap mingling with the steam. I felt rejuvenated, both physically and emotionally, despite the complexities of the situation. Finishing up, I stepped out of the shower, feeling ready to face the day and whatever it might bring.

As I dried off, I headed back to my room and grabbed some briefs and a sports bra. After getting dressed, I made my way to the closet to figure out which suit to wear today. I still can't get used to this new lifestyle I'm living now. "Thanks, Grandpa," I muttered under my breath as I chose my outfit for the day. I went with the blue suede blazer, gray suit, and black dress shoes.
