Roy was in deep thought. He regretted lunging forward at Anthony. He regretted Jackson jumping to save him.
How could he fail the responsibility of being the older one? He should be the one to save Jackson; not the other way round!
Karry, Roy, Kang Wen, her father, Ron and Ran were waiting outside the surgery room.
The light was on.
Jackson Yi was inside, currently getting an operation from the best surgeons in the hospital.
All eight of them.
So...what did happen just an hour and a half ago?
Most of the under-covers and cops working under Kang Zhen rushed in to the hideout.
Kang Wen left Jackson under the paramedic's care.
The rebels were pushed down.
{A/N: Sorry but no violent scenes will be written. Because I just can't- on with the story!}
Roy was beating Anthony up with the help of Spy Janice and trust me; the built man is going to have trouble getting out of bed the next day.
Karry, Roy, Ran, Ron and Kang Wen let the cops do their jobs. Kang Zhen ordered the other spies to bring the Dark Knights and Jason into custody.
Ron and Ran were mistaken to be Dark Knights. Well, they technically are but they're good now...so we're all good. Right?
Jackson was rushed to the hospital immediately after that. Kang Wen sat beside him in the ambulance as she gripped his hands tightly, while whispering words of comfort.
Her voice was shaky and was coated with fear and pain for Jackson.
"Please be okay. Please..." Kang Wen managed to croak out. Her throat was dry and she hadn't had a single drop of water since morning.
It was currently evening.
The light went off. Kang Zhen stood up as a doctor exit the surgery room.
"How is he?" Kang Zhen asked worriedly.
The expression on the doctor's face brought a sick feeling to Kang Wen.
The doctor pulled Kang Zhen aside and whispered quietly to him. By their body language, it was obvious something had gone wrong during the surgery.
Jackson's 'parents' came in a rush, with the mother crying loudly.
His father was trying to calm her down as the doctor slowly broke the news to them.
Kang Wen, scared with all the crying and shocked faces, walked to Kang Zhen with Karry and Roy.
"Dad, what's wrong?" she asked warily.
Karry pulled Kang Zhen's arm, "Please tell me he's alright."
The tears streamed down Roy's face- which was once cheerful and happy- as Kang Zhen broke the news to them.
"Jackson died during the surgery."
