The four prisoners stared at the twins hard, with their steely gaze.

"What do you mean, you're here to help us?" Jackson asked, his voice dangerously low and his eyes narrowed.

"Yeah. You just freaking locked us in here 10 HOURS ago!!" Kang Wen spat angrily, her voice venomous.

"Chill, girl. You were in here for only half an hour. Don't over-exaggerate." Ran rolled his eyes. Ron put a hand on his twin's shoulder as he said, "We mean what we said. We are here to help you."

"Cut the crap please. Why are you really here?" Roy sighed, tired of everything as he rubbed his eyes lightly.

"We are here to help you. We've been planning to help you all along." Ran insisted.

Kang Wen looked at them with cautious as she slowly let down the fierce façade.

Ron sighed as he ran a hand through his messy brown hair, "Would you believe us if we said...we never killed anyone before? And we won't start."

Karry let out a bitter chuckle, "Lying to us won't help your case here, buddy."

Ron glared at him as he lowered himself to the ground and sat cross-legged. Ran followed suit.

"Do you want to hear a story?" Ron asked.

"Sure. But make it quick. We still have to escape." Roy said, interested. He quickly stood up, his legs perfectly fine now. He made his way to the twins and sat across from them.

The other three cautiously sat down around them.

"What's it about?" Karry asked.

"It's a story about two brothers..." Ran started and launched into the story.

*Five years ago*

The rebels were fighting. They were trying to kill the current King and Queen.

The rebels' leader, Jason, was crazy for power. He wanted the whole nation under his fingers. He planned to overthrow the royalties.

Jason succeeded. The King and Queen passed.

But he wasn't able to get the throne.

The King and Queen had a heir; their only son- Prince Jackson.

But he was still too young to take the throne. So he was sent to live else where.

Meanwhile, there were two kids-of age 10- on the run. They had recently lost their youngest brother who was only 9 and both their parents, due to the rebel going on.

They were very sure their parents were dead because they watched them die in front of their eyes, killed by the one and only Jason.

They were old enough to know why their parents were killed. Their parents were loyal to the royalties and helped protect them from the rebels.

And all assistance to the royalties... must die.

As for their brother, they knew where he went. He was close friends with Prince Jackson so he was sent to live elsewhere with him.

Prince Jackson and him were placed under the care of other staff that weren't killed. But until now, no one knows where they had gone.

As for this two kids, Jason found them hiding. Crying. Frightened.

"Come with me."

Jason had said that to them. And too scared to stand up for themselves, they obliged.

Until now.

They could never find the opportunity to leave.

And had been forced to hunt people down and kill them.

Though they never killed them. They let them go without Jason's knowledge.

This two kids have one mission and only one.

To make sure their brother was safe and still alive. To make sure Roy Wang Yuan, their baby brother, was still living his life.

The tears fell down Roy's face, "T-That..was the..sob...saddest story ever..."

Karry and Jackson shot him a pointed look.

Did the guy even understand what Ron and Ran had said?

Roy was the brother! And the parents taking care of him right now were not his parents!

Why didn't Kang Zhen tell him?

Ron and Ran laughed at the same time, and their voice seemed to be one, it was almost scary.

Almost.

Kang Wen stood up, "I'm sorry for misunderstanding you both." She bowed politely.

"Ah it's alright. Roy, it's nice to see you again, baby bro." Ron said as he patted Roy's shoulder.

"Wait what? I'm your brother?" Roy gasped as his eyes slowly widened.

Jackson slapped his own forehead in exasperation, "The two kids in the story were Ron and Ran. They lost a brother called Roy. Solve the puzzle yourself, baby brother."

Roy stood there for a few seconds as the rest of them watched as his face changed from blank, to shock, to surprise, to happiness.

"Oh my god, geges!!" Roy cried happily as he bounced in Ron and Ran's hugs.

Ron smiled fondly, as his eyes teared up.

Ran on the other hand, had a frown.

"Guys, shut up." Ran hissed as he pulled Ron and Roy behind the wall. He peeked out and gasped audibly.

"The Dark Knights are coming. Are your acting skills good?" Ran asked with a monotonous voice.

"Of course!" Karry exclaimed quietly.

"Good. Act mean and angry. We're gonna pretend to be bullying you. Get into position!" Ron hissed as he pushed Roy slightly.

The four of them quickly ran back to their positions.

Karry and Roy on the floor, Jackson and Kang Wen in front of them with their arms in front of them protectively.

"Go away!! Leave us alone!!" Kang Wen screamed angrily, pointing a shaky finger at Ron.

"She's good." Roy whispered to Karry.

"Keep dreaming. We can torture you however and whenever we want." Ran spat, taking a step closer to Kang Wen.

"What's happening?" ApeMan entered the room.

"Oh Ron. Ran. We were wondering where you were. So you were having fun with the prisoners without us." the last Dark Knights whose name have not yet been introduced boomed.

"Yeah...well...sorry, Anthony." Ron smiled sheepishly.

"Well whatever. We just wanted I check on them but since you're here...don't let them out of your sight." Jake said scruffily. He hit Ran's butt as he left the room.

The rest of the Dark Knights did the same. Roy could see the anger in Ran's eyes but he covered it up pretty well with his bright smile.

When all the Dark Knights were gone, Ran let out a low breath.

"I hate them." was the first thing Ran said.

"They've been harassing Ran ever since we entered the Dark Knights. Because Ran could pass as a girl. Sorry Ran." Ron sighed as he scratched his neck sadly.

Ran had the features of a girl. His eyelashes were longer than Ron and he had a pretty figure. But he was still a man and that was quite obvious.

"Whatever." Ran hissed quietly as he rubbed his eyes. Tears were appearing at the rim and he didn't want anyone to see it.

Too late. Everyone saw it.

Roy ran to him and pulled him in a hug, "I'll protect you now!"

Ran chuckled, "I appreciate that, kiddo. But I think that's my job."

Jackson smiled, "Let's go now."

Okay. Maybe not as interesting as I had imagined. But I hoped this is alright?
