How many words is a life worth?
The 10 sentences on newsprint,
Black and white letters,
Staring her in the face,
Gave her the answer.
It was a short paragraph,
Nothing fancy,
Just some sorrowful thoughts of
Immediate family and friends
Who were left behind.
A few lines devoted to her work,
Her "shining" personality,
Bringing light to people
In their darkest times.
Was it her fate,
To be summed up to 100 words,
And then forgotten?
