A SEVEN

A SEVEN. That was the score Saleah had gotten.

It wasn't horrible. She was glad she hadn't scored incredibly low, or incredibly high. Orna had explained that scoring too low made you an easy target, you were assumed to be weak. And if you scored too high it made you a threat. Either way you'd be a target for the careers, and she did not want that.

Craig had scored a five, all he did was make a fire, which wasn't very impressive, but Saleah knew he would give his all in the arena. He was fast and stealthy, which was useful.

Finch on the other hand, scored quite high. Saleah had no idea what he did, but she assumed it was something to do with darts or something.

Jessica scored a five just like Craig.

After they received their scores, Saleah and Craig headed to bed. They would have their interview with Caesar the next day, and the games came after that.

They needed all the rest they could get.

Saleah was woken up by an enthusiastic Crystal, "Wake up dear! Interviews are today! Go shower and get decent." The escort pulled Saleah up out of bed and clapped with excitement before leaving the room.

Saleah let out a sigh and headed into the bathroom. She showered, brushed her teeth, and made sure she was decent. Though she figured it wouldn't really matter since her stylist would fix her up anyway.

After breakfast Saleah was escorted to the building where the interviews would take place. Her stylist, Laycey was already there waiting for her.

"Nice to see you again my darling Leah, sit sit!"

Saleah sat and let Laycey work on her hair.

"You have such beautiful hair, one of the reasons I like being a stylist for eleven is because you all are just so beautiful! Beautiful colored skin and bushy and curly hair, I love it!"

Saleah hummed. She didn't know if Laycey's compliments were actually compliments. Eleven was mostly made up of African Americans, but of course there were other races, but African Americans made up most of the population.

Laycey started to talk again, "I was thinking for tomorrow.. What should we do with this hair? It'll be a shame for it to get all frizzy and messed up in the games."

Saleah shrugged, "I can manage, I'll probably do something to it tonight."

"Alright then, if you say so."

Soon Laycey was finished with Saleah's hair and makeup.

Her hair was down, her curls defined and reaching her shoulders.
