A tingling sensation awoke me, as if a thousand bugs walked over my hands and feet, I was paralyzed while my mind was awake.
My window was still open and the moonlight shone through the cracks of the curtains, giving off a white mist in my room. My muscles felt like they were waking up as I felt control return.
A gush of cold air blew through, waving the curtains at me. My first reflex was to pull the blankets up to my nose but as another gush of wind blew in my nose felt particularly cold.
Quite annoyed I threw away the blankets and walked up to the window, but as I got up the wind started to get aggressive, the curtains were now like hair in the wind and the sound of the wind was deafening in the room as rapid bursts of cold wind entered.
I had trouble making my way toward my window, as I was making my way the chair caught the wind and hit me in the chest, I had no time to react. However, that wooden chair hitting me in the chest felt like a distant thump more than anything, no pain at all...
I crawled on the floor towards the table, this made navigating this room-sized whirlwind a whole lot more tolerable. I climbed my way onto the table and pushed against the window, forcing it to shut, and put the lock in place making sure it wouldn't open again...
Something moved in my peripheral vision, I turned my attention towards the window which looked out over the lake. Carefully I pulled away one of the curtains to see what was going on outside.
It looked like Stormvarr was in the middle of a walk but at this hour?He walked the lake's shore, the moon shone down beautifully onto the lake, giving it a mirage of white. It did not seem to be as windy outside.
Stormvarr stopped dead in his tracks and sharply turned his head while not moving the rest of his body. I felt my heart skip a beat as I felt like a small child who should not be awake at the current hour and was caught by a parent.
However, Stormvarr did not seem to mind and turned towards the lake and stretched his arms out wide. A thick cold and white mist came from the surrounding forests, but it also originated from buildings on the property. The ground and water surface were covered with a thick white mist. Yet the boulder in the lake remained untouched, I felt a chill go down my spine as I was mesmerized by events outside, a giant shadow flew, covering the light of the moon and placing its rest upon the boulder.
...I should have guessed it...but why didn't I? The dragon, the same white dragon as my other dreams landed on the boulder, disrupting the white mist as it landed.
I felt my eardrums quake as it spoke, it sounded far away and incoherent. I closed my eyes from the pain and placed my hands on my ears to keep out the sound.
The rumbling eventually stopped, I pulled away the curtain once more to see what was happening at the lake...they were both still in the same position. I focused my attention on the dragon. When my eyes crossed with theirs, its eyes started to glow a dim blue, growing ever stronger.
The same light originated from the old man's eyes and too grew brighter. The lights were blinding, so I turned away. The bright blue light shone through my window, illuminating the room in its light. I looked back outside to see that the dragon had gotten closer, they were at the shore, still staring into my room, not blinking, not moving.
I hid myself again from the window, did they find me out? What are they going to do to me?
I mustered the courage to look out the window one more time, to find that Stormvarr and the Dragon found themselves just outside my window, their soulless bright blue eyes stared right through me.
I jumped away from the window and hid under the table, facing the door. I felt a cold creep up on me, an icy sound creeping closer, my full attention focused on the door, and scared of whatever might come through.
I heard the door of the barn open with a creak, there were no words to describe the horror that went through me. Heavy footsteps entered the barn and stopped right in front of my door. I could see through the cracks the same bright blue light sneaking its way into my room.
The mist began to slip under my door, filling the room with a chilling cold mist. I was frozen in place, too scared to react. The room filled and filled, making it hard for me to even see myself at a certain point, and then...everything went white...
I was in my bed, the curtains still open and the morning sun on my face...I was soaked in cold sweat: Was it a dream?
