Midnight once again, my skin itched and I felt a cold running through my veins. I opened my eyes but did not find myself in my bed. I moved my arms around and felt stone-cold rock. it was too dark for me to see anything before the moon appeared from behind the clouds.
I stood in a cave, with an entrance in the ceiling big enough to fit a dragon. The walls of the cave were covered in ice. Through the hole in the roof, I could see the moon, shining down brightly, illuminating the opening I stood in.
The stone floor rumbled as something shifted deeper within the cave. A deep growl sounded in front of me as two glowing blue eyes opened.
"...Tiber." Its voice shook my bones, It could be no other than that dragon, it had to be, the Friorïce. The glowing eyes shot up in the air as the dragon sat up. "Like a lost lamb you search for your shepherd... "I stood frozen, unable to mutter anything. The two blue eyes came into the light, revealing the same white dragon as all of my other dreams.
"To find one's way, it must illumine its path."I felt a tingle on my skin which started to emit a blue glow, I panicked but stood powerless, at least I could use myself as a beacon to navigate the darkness. The dragon was gone and the same was true for the hole in the ceiling, it seemed as if I shifted from places. I held my right hand in front of me to light the way. slowly stepping forward in the darkness
My hand met with a brazier and as my hand touched the brazier a small tingle from my arm shot to the tip of my finger causing the brazier to shine a light blue. It allowed me to see another brazier. I walked up to that one and did the same. The first brazier dimmed and now the one I touched flicked on.
I followed a path of four more braziers and upon touching the last one, not only did that one light up, but it lit up a circle revealing the giant white dragon in its center.
"...Learn..." it closed its eyes, "Have you forgotten?" it paused shortly before I felt a sharp pain between my temples. "You have!" it yelled out before I could answer, shivering the room.It shot a ray of frost from its mouth, hitting me in the chest and forcing me to my knees. My chest contracted as I tried to breathe in, yet the dragon was relentless.
"Repeat..." it stomped closer while I clamped my chest to warm myself. "...REPEAT!" it now commanded. Before I could do anything, I felt the frost hitting me, I fell to my side, frozen and almost unable to move. The menacing beast now stood over me, I could feel its cold breath on my skin.
"...Repeat..." Its head hung over my body.I held my arm up, I felt the magic within me coming to a boil and creep down my arm, a cold shot through my blood and up my arm into my hand. A beam of frigid ice shot out, and my upper arm froze as I tried to move it, it shattered like glass. My disembodied lower arm now flopped into my vision.
"Defend oneself by all means..." the voice rumbled over me. "...Well done." by now I panicked as I saw my arm on the ground, only being able to move a nub. I weakily looked at the dragon who soon after, filled my vision with the familiar white fog......I shot up in my bed and immediately felt for my right arm...It was still there, though a bit stiff. But that was beside the fact that I slept on it.
I looked at my blanket and noticed that it shone the light blue as from my dream...Well, how was I going to solve this? My room was freezing, I breathed out a condensation cloud.
The was a knock on my door,
"Tiber?! Are you okay in there?" It was Ulric, I somehow managed to get him out of bed and walk over to my door. "Uh...uh...yeah," My racing mind had some trouble thinking of a good excuse. "I had a bad dream!"He tried opening the door multiple times, which was strange considering that I had not even locked it.
"Tiber?!" Ulric was trying to force the door while I had to deal with this glowing blanket, like the braziers in my dream I tried transferring the energy from the blanket. The glow dimmed and my room was dark once again. Ulric now bashed the door open with his shoulder. Pieces of ice fell from the doorframe and slid across the room as Ulric barged in.
"Tiber, are you okay? Why is it freezing in here?" Ulric was still fully dressed but looked at me concerned as I covered myself in my blanket.
"It...is my thing...I had a dream." I looked him over and smiled, " ...I just want to go to bed...thank you."It was true, I was very tired.
"Are you sure Tiber?" Ulric looked around my room at all the ice.
"I am...I think." I tried to sound nonchalant, "Why are you still dressed...like that?"
Ulric gave a guilty chuckle.
"I just got home when I noticed that your room was freezing bud." He looked too tired to be anywhere but his bed. "See you in the morning. Night Tiber." He yawned as he closed the door.Ilay again in my dark and freezing room, a bit worried about what I might dreamnext...
"Thesedreams are going to kill me..."
