Nicha opened her eyes hearing the click of the front door, getting up from the chair, seeing Miyeon enter.

"M-Miyeon!"

The woman looked her wife in the eyes, seeing the bags under them, the latter red and shiny, while on her cheeks there were signs of tears.

Nicha noticed something else. Miyeon's expression when their eyes met.

It didn't seem to be her Miyeon. Cold and emotionless eyes, almost with a hint of hatred in them.

Minnie approached the girl, taking her hands in hers, caressing them.

"M-Miyeon, where have you been? What happened, why are your eyes swollen? You cried? Did you fail your exam?" Minnie stopped, shaking her head. "You know what? I-I don't care, I'm just happy that you're okay. I was so worried-"

"Worried?" the brunette asked, almost irritated. "Is this the truth, Nicha? Or is this another one of your lies?"

"W-What?" Nicha felt her world slowly crumble and her heart with it. "What are you-"

*Smack*

Nicha stood still, her cheek slowly starting to sting as it grew hotter and hotter.

Miyeon had slapped her. More painful than every scar on her body. This would leave no obvious marks on her body, but it had just ripped her heart apart irreparably.

"S-Stop lying, Nicha!" Miyeon shouted, crying, as she held her own hand.

The same hand that had hit the person she thought loved her.

The same hand that until the night before caressed Nicha's soft and smooth cheeks and now... they had caused her pain.

That hand now stung, as Nicha's cheek had now turned red.

"I-I know that you killed my father!" Miyeon shouted as tears tracked down her face.

With those words, Nicha's heart finally collapsed, shattering into a million pieces, impossible to repair.

"W-Who...?"

"Tell the truth for once, Nicha. Did you kill my father just because he didn't give you back your filthy money? Just because he was in debt?" the brunette asked, approaching the woman. "Is it just another of many lies? How much longer have you hidden from me? I even married you!" Miyeon was furious, tears streaming down her face.

Nicha was silent as she looked at Miyeon. As she watched her wife get mad at her. As she felt Miyeon's fists on her chest, where her tattoo was. The same tattoo that Miyeon had covered in kisses.

"Y-You ruined my life." Miyeon whispered, crying, as she clutched the collar of Nicha's shirt. "I-I thought I could finally trust you. I believed that you had truly changed and that you genuinely loved me. I gave you all I had left of myself. I was... in love with you.

Nicha looked into Miyeon's eyes as everything inside her fell apart.

The woman extended a hand, trying to reach her wife's face. She wanted to caress her cheeks, she wanted to make her feel her presence, she wanted to tell her that it hadn't all been a lie. She loved her and her feelings were true. How real was the pain she felt, not only on her cheek, but also in her heart.

Nicha couldn't say anything, standing still, waiting for Miyeon to vent on her.

Miyeon rested her forehead on Nicha's shoulder as she clutched her collar in her hands, sobbing and crying, saying nothing.

The two were silent for several minutes, remaining close.

"I-I want to get a divorce." Miyeon whispered, crying.

Words sharp as blades that gave the final blow to Nicha's heart.

Miyeon had every right to hate her and divorce her, but Nicha believed that her displays of affection were enough to make her understand her sincerity.

"I knew this day would come, sooner or later." Nicha murmured, trying not to show the tears forming in her eyes.

The brunette raised her head, looking Nicha in the eyes, surprised by her words. Those words they confirmed everything Miyeon had just said, making her feel vulnerable,

"You will have three days to pack your things and leave this house." Nicha said coldly. "Yuqi will take you to your new home... consider it a gift from me. She will also give you the divorce papers to sign." Miyeon couldn't believe her ears, it was really happening and Nicha had done nothing to convince her otherwise. "In the meantime... you can sleep in Ami's room, or in ours-..." Nicha stopped, swallowing the lump in her throat. "In my room. I'll give you your space."

Miyeon released her grip on Nicha's shirt, almost in disbelief.

Nicha backed away, walking towards the stairs, before stopping.

"It disgusts me how easily you believed everything they told you. How could you believe someone else, probably unknown... Without asking me first if things had actually happened..."

Those words had a strange effect on Miyeon. They too are sharp like blades.

Nicha went upstairs, disappearing from Miyeon's sight, until she heard the door to her study slam.

Miyeon no longer knew who or what to believe as tears tracked down her face.

This was their first argument and Miyeon still couldn't understand which of the two of them had the right to suffer, but maybe she had done irreparable harm to both of them.
