It had now been a month since Miyeon had written her name next to Nicha's on the divorce papers.

It had been a month since Miyeon moved from that house.

It had been a month since Miyeon had heard from Nicha.

For a month now, money had been debited from her account by an unknown benefactor and her university tuition and fees were always paid on time.

Miyeon knew that only Nicha could be behind all this, but she didn't understand why.

None of this was in their divorce agreement.

Another thing that Miyeon had noticed was that for every trip she made, there was always a car, now familiar, waiting for her, as if someone was trying to stalk her.

The brunette had never seen that car, so it definitely couldn't belong to Yuqi or Soojin, the only alternative was Nicha's attacker.

Someone who really wanted to capture Miyeon to blackmail the woman.

Even at that moment, just before she entered the supermarket, that car was there, waiting for her.

The girl thought she had made a mistake because of the rain, but the car's license plate was identical.

Miyeon didn't know whether to call Yuqi or the police, but soon the choice fell on the first option.

The brunette finished shopping, before picking up her phone, dialing Yuqi's number.

"Miyeon?" the blonde asked, perplexed.

"Y-Yuqi, I think I need your help. There's a car that's been following me for a few days."

"Okay, where are you now?"

"I'm at the supermarket."

"Don't move, I'm coming."

After less than five minutes, Yuqi entered the supermarket, finding Miyeon.

"How did you come so quickly? It's even raining"

"Umh... I was in the area." said the woman. "Come on, I'll take you to the car."

The blonde opened the umbrella, welcoming Miyeon underneath and the two left the supermarket, heading towards Yuqi's car, when Miyeon made a strange expression.

"But... This is the car that was following me!" the girl said, shocking Yuqi, who soon started laughing. "For several days I have seen this car everywhere I go, everywhere I move. What are you doing, following me? And with a car I don't know."

"Sorry, I didn't want to scare you, but first let's get in the car."

The two got into the car, fastening their seat belts, before leaving.

It was evening and it was raining heavily, even though it was an August day.

"So?"

"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you, but when you have divorced, I swore to Nicha that, even without your knowledge, I would protect you. Nicha relieved me of all duties, assigning only your protection as the objective. Especially because after a month we still haven't found the mole. Every member of the mafia appears to be clean. The only one who could tell us who they are is you. You saw the attacker directly or one of their collaborators."

"I don't feel like helping a killer, Yuqi." the brunette said, slightly annoyed.

"You don't have to help her, but you're helping another potential killer. Someone who wants Nicha's head on their wall." Yuqi said, explaining the truth of the facts. "Nicha never hurt you, at least not intentionally. You may not believe it, but Nicha really loves you."
