Cassie spent the coming two weeks helping Harry prepare for the third task, along with Hermione and Ron. They had been using empty classrooms around the castle to practice a whole bunch of hexes, jinxes and other useful spells- like stunning, the four-pointer spell and the shield charm. The four-pointer spell was a very useful discovery of Hermione's and when used it will tell the witch or wizard which way is north, so Harry knows where to go in the maze.
The thing was that people- other teachers, were very prone to walking in on them all around the castle, and Professor McGonagall had gotten so tired of this that she let them practice in her classroom when it was empty between her lessons.
They were very grateful for this, but he training meant certain sacrifices on Hermione, Ron and Cassie's part. Currently, the three of them took turns letting Harry stun them. Cassie had just excused herself to go take a shower in her common room when she bumped into Adrian Pucey outside the hidden entrance to the Slytherin Dungeon.
"Oh- Hi, Adrian" She said awkwardly, and he looked equally awkward. Pucey had asked her to the yule-ball, and you could practically cut the tension with a knife. Adrian had been coming out of the portrait hole with his four friends who Cassie hadn't noticed until now. One of them, Blake, was holding the portrait open for her with a disgusting smirk on his face that made Cassie feel quezy.
She walked past Adrian and the other three, one of which touched her back, making Cassie jump. There was something familiar of the guy who touched her back, which made Cassie think. She ducked under Blake's arm. "Hi sweetheart.." She heard him whisper in her ear in an oily voice which sent shivers down her spine.
She quickly descended the stairs, making a Beeline for the showers. She yanked the door open before letting out a screech.
Draco was stood in the showers, his back turned to her. The water was spewing all over him, and he was only in his trousers, which were soaked and dripping. He was leaning against the wall with his forehead touching it. He looked thoroughly put out, and, despite not seeing his face, he looked tired. The kind of tired a good night's sleep couldn't fix.
He turned around when she screeched and flinched when he saw her. His eyes were red and she wore a scared look on her face from the meeting with Pucey and his creepy friends earlier. She couldn't help but let her eyes roam his back and the scars littering it, she couldn't drag her eyes away from it. She hadn't forgotten their meeting in the common room when he showed her them.
