The next few weeks passed by extremely slowly. First of all, Harry and Cassandra had landed themselves in detention with the new Professor, Dolores Umbridge- several times. And she hadn't given them just a night of detention, no- it had been a whole week's worth of detentions for each 'crime'- which she liked to call their misdeeds.

Cassie had just gotten back to her common room after the last evening of her latest punishment. "Thestral Dung" she muttered to the wall, their latest password really was ridiculous. The stone staircase appeared in the wall, and she descended it down to the dark and empty common room. It was past midnight, and her hand was aching.

She sighed as she walked over to the couch, and she just managed to contain the scream that had almost left her lips when she saw Draco stand up and walk over to her, his face cast in shadows. He immediately grabbed her hand, and he saw exactly what he expected to see.

He'd been onto her for a while now, Cassie had managed to conceal the words carved into her left hand- until yesterday morning. "I knew it, what's she doing to you?!" He whisper-shouted to her indignantly. All this just because she had yelled at Umbridge. The reason she had gotten into trouble was that she had defended Cedric. Umbridge still kept up her act that Cedric had died in a tragic accident- which was both insulting to his memory and also ridiculous.

Almost the whole school thought the Potter twins and Dumbledore alike to be liars, it seemed that the Daily Prophet had done its job in convincing the wizarding world that there wasn't any dangers. So now, Hermione had managed to convince the twins to meet 'a couple' students in the Hog's Head tomorrow and teach them to defend themselves, if they were interested.

"It's nothing, forget about it." She told him, snapping out of her thoughts. Draco scowled back at her, dropping her injured hand and clamping his hand down on her other wrist softly, pulling her toward the couch.

"It's not nothing, Cass. She's torturing you!" He exclaimed angrily, but his gaze softened when he met her eyes. Her oh-so-beautiful eyes. "You can't tell anyone.. Please-" Cassandra pleaded, and he pondered on it for a while before giving her a curt nod.

He sighed, looking away briefly before returning his gaze to her face. He tucked some bright red hair behind her ear- he did this often, and his eyes fell down to her lips for just a moment too long. The blonde swallowed thickly and licked his lips. "We ought to get to bed.." He whispered to her, not meeting her eyes. She had noticed where his gaze fell, he knew it and she knew that he knew. She looked down at her lap, nodding silently.

The next day was a Saturday, and it was a Hogsmeade weekend. Smiling brightly, she bounded down the stairs from Hermione's dormitory to meet the her brothers in the Gryffindor common room. "Lets go, shall we?" She asked them excitedly, Harry looked stumped, Hermione looked hesitant and Ron looked excited as well, though not quite as much as his sister.
