Cassandra and the other Weasley children spent the week leading up to Harry's ministry hearing cleaning. They spent their whole days scrubbing, and the evenings trying to spy and listen in on the meetings. Dumbledore had showed up tonight, and it was the eve of Harry's hearing, but he hadn't even spoken to either of the twins.
They had found out quite a lot during dinner the previous night. For starters, Molly was beside herself that Cassandra, Harry and Ron even got to listen in the first place. She felt they were too young.
There had been a raging fight between Sirius and Molly which was only settled once Remus brought up the fact that Cassandra and Harry weren't her children, to which Molly had responded that they were as good as. Cassie had felt slightly put off when Lupin had said that, because to her- Molly was her mum.
They had discovered that Voldemort wanted something that he didn't have the last time. Another thing they found out was that he was recruiting not only witches and wizards, but also magical creatures like the giants and dementors. Dumbledore had predicted that the dementors would abandon the ministry and join Voldemort, which is certainly what it seemed like when you consider the dementors that attacked Harry and Dudley last week.
To say that Ron seemed like he was scared shitless was an understatement, and a big one at that. Cassandra didn't feel much more scared now than she did before, and it seems like Harry felt the same as his sister.

When Cassie woke up the next morning, she felt a pang of anxiety fill her stomach. She checked her watch and noted that Harry was already at the ministry for his hearing, and she walked downstairs. He would be coming back soon.
