The Enchanted Forest
- Thirty Two Years Ago -
1982Running through the large forest, Snow soon came to a quick stop, crouching down for a better look at her trail. Her husband was just behind her, confused at the sudden break. "What is it? Did the trail go cold?" The woman shushed him, gesturing toward the unicorn stood behind them. Charming only nodded, the woman letting out a heavy sigh.
"Well, come on. Let's get this over with."
"Snow." Charming took the Al woman's arm, his voice soft as he continued. "I know you're worried about, Maleficent's predictions."
"Aren't you?" She asked. "If she's right, either one of our children could end up with a dark heart. Possibly worse, they both could turn to the darkness."
"Or, both of them could grow to be a powerful hero. She said that, too." Charming gave his wife a knowing look. "Perhaps, instead of stressing over something that may not even come true, we should go home?" Snow stayed quiet, having a small thought on what he was implying. "When was the last time you spent time with, Brooke?"
"I spend time with our daughter, everyday. But, right now, I would like to find out what hers and our unborn child's future will be."
Charming's face softened, his hand giving her own a small squeeze. "Who's to say we can even trust her?
"Let's find out." Snow turned from her husband, taking out an apple from her satchel, already making her way toward the unicorn. "According to legend. All we need to do, is touch its horn. And, we'll get a glimpse of our children's futures."
After a second, Charming raised his hand, the woman following quickly. As they both clutched into the horn, a sudden flash hit both their eyes.
Charming opened his eyes, letting them wonder around the small, open space. Looking down, he noticed the small, bassinet laid in front of him, already walking toward it. A small, find smile grew on his face when he saw the small child laid inside of it.
Gently taking a hold of the child, Charming whispered. "Yes. Look at you." He let his finger gently caress her small cheek. "You are so beautiful."
"Yes, she is." Charming looked behind him quickly, his eyes growing wider when he saw the new figure standing before him. A young, beautiful tall teenager stood, smiling shyly at the man.
"Brooke?"
"Hi, papa." Quickly moving to his feet, the man only stared at his eldest daughter. "Do you like my dress?"
"Yes." He smiled, gently rocking the baby in his arms. "You look so much like-"
"Grandmother?" The man nodded, Brooklyn beginning to play with the small frills on her dress. "Yes, you've said."
Suddenly, before he could get another word in, the man woke up. He looked at the unicorn, slowly letting his hand live away from the horn. "Snow. It's alright. Our baby, Brooke, they're going to be alright." He smiled, too in his own world. "My, she's has grown so beautifully. Just like-" the man turned to face his wife, his face falling at her state. "Snow?"
Snow woke up, in the same setting as her husband, though alone. She walked around the space, her eyes soon falling on a young blonde, resembling her future daughter.
