Camelot
- Four Weeks Ago -

Brooklyn held the top of her skirt, as she, Regina and her parents made their way through the forest. She wore a simple, pink laced dress, which wasn't up to her comfort but she just passed on with it.

"You really think giving the dagger to, Arthur is the best way to help, Emma?" The younger woman asked, not looking back at her parents as she spoke.

"We trust him."

"Implicitly." David muttered, earning a short look from their friend.

"Did you learn those big words at shepard school?" Regina asked, her voice tinted with her usual sarcasm. "How do you know, you can trust him?"

"Because, we're good judges of character."

"That's debatable." David gave his daughter a shirt and he at look, her eyebrows raising as she looked back at him, confidently.

"And, we're would never act against. Emma's best interest."

Just as they walked a few further steps, Mary Margaret quickened her pace as she saw, Regina moving toward a large tree stump. "Is the dagger in there?" Both women gave her a confused look each, Regina still dipping her hand in the stump to grab it.

As she unwrapped it, about to give it to them, she paused. "Are you sure, handing the one thing that can control your daughter, over to, Arthur is the right thing to do?"

"Have you lost the power of comprehension?" Mary Margaret asked, her voice dark. Brooklyn narrowed her eyes as she looked over to her mother, she and Regina holding the same expression. "Hand over the dag-" before they woman could finish, a bright, yellow light shined around the two, both of them freezing in an instant.

Regina and Brooklyn both stayed quiet for a second, their eyes falling onto, Emma. "What are you doing?" The younger woman asked, following her friend as they joined the blonde.

"When did you get so liberal with dark magic?"

"No choice. Arthur has them under some kind of spell. He wants them to bring him the dagger, he wants to reunite it with Excalibur." Emma explained.

"Unite it?"

"It was once one blade." She added, Brooklyn's eyes only staying narrowed.

"Wait, how do you know about this? How could you tell they were under a spell?" She asked, her arms crossing over her chest.

"That doesn't matter. It was broken in half, a long, long time ago." Emma stated, looking more at, Regina.

"What happens when they're together?" She asked, staring wearily at the woman.

"He wants to kill, Merlin with it. I don't have to tell you how bad that would be, for all of us." Brooklyn kept herself quiet from the woman's words, her expression dropping into a more serious one.

"Brooke was right, how do you know this?" Regina asked, the two sensing her worries. "How do I know this isn't the darkness in you, rearing its head?"

"It's true. We don't have a lot of time, Arthur's expecting them soon."

Regina grabbed her friend's arm as she turned away, Emma looking back with a small sigh. "He's the king. So, you wanna take on all of Camelot?"

"I wanna free, Merlin first, then I can free my parents and stop, Arthur."

Brooklyn gave the blonde a small, knowing look, her arms crossed as she spoke. "That's a great plan, but we have no idea how to get him out of the tree."
