It's so nice to see all my readers back after my break! I appreciate your patience and understanding. I've also been playing around with Canva to make more professional looking book covers, so you may notice the changes I made to each cover. I'd love feedback on either the chapter or covers. I'm trying to increase my number of readers to justify self-publishing these books. This is a new process for me, and I'm trying to do things right, but every author must begin somewhere. Please enjoy the chapter, and don't forget to vote and comment.

Change of POV

"They're what?" I yelped surprised. Of all the times for the werewolf royal family to visit.

Princess Serena sighed and checked her hair one more time in the mirror while wearing her confident aloof attitude like makeup. "My parents and siblings are here. All of them this time. Celine Lupine is a full-blown celebrity back at Wistering Heights. They wanted to catch one or her performances live, but Ora is too close to the border for their liking. Not that Vespertil's much better in my opinion." She grumbled. It took all of my convincing and insistence that she didn't outright declare war against the vampires for what happened to June. She may have been a softy for cute things, something I had once thought she had outgrown, but she was a downright mother bear when her cute things were threatened. She broke a fellow pup's nose and bit a chunk out of another one when they took her teddy bear as a child.

To be honest, I thought about letting her. It would put a delicious wrench in Hendrix's newfound relationship with my mate, but it would upset June. She didn't want to be the cause of fighting or others getting harmed, even if they damned deserved it.

"Okay... Do they want a private concert or something?" I asked. Princess Serena wouldn't be informing me of this if they were just going to quietly enjoy themselves in the crowd. There was a twist somewhere.

"Nothing like that." She assured. "They just want to sit in where she will actually be performing."

I took a breath and drew my bottom lip in under my teeth. "And you're not meaning backstage are you." I groaned.

"They want to see her perform, not her hologram." She shrugged.

"Well, I'll have to ask June. You know how my mate can be." I said. I then remembered the way she came beneath me while her hungry pussy clamped desperately to my cock just this morning. I had wanted to run to her right after the rehearsal, but Princess Serena had demanded I followed her so that she could explain all of this to me back in her hotel room. Being apart from June was torture. I couldn't get her off my mind, and my thoughts constantly swirled towards her being taken or harmed when I wasn't there to protect her... Again... I had been texting Balto for updates constantly, but it was of little help.

The princess's eyes darkened. "There's another reason they came to this specific performance. They had initially aimed for the performance at Tathens, but changed their plans last minute."

"What's the reason?" I asked feeling my fur stand on end.

"The vampire's royal family." She growled. "They are here too. Apparently they also wanted to see this rising star in person. Neither my family nor I know exactly why. It wasn't like they were all that hospitable with her before. Maybe it's just the ego of knowing the truth behind Celine, but we are not going to allow them any opportunities to hurt or pressure her again. They will also be requesting to watch the true artist perform, but I doubt it will be requesting. More like demanding. And if they are going, my family will also be going." She said firmly.
