"If I might make a suggestion." Eros said.

I pulled away from the hypnotic pull of Vogyld's giant eye and turned to the pink-haired angel. "Please." I said on the verge of desperation. I had no idea how I was supposed to help this determined dragon. I wanted to. I always wanted to help, but what was I really supposed to do? I wasn't God or even a being with endless power and influence. I honestly had only survived this far by luck, which I found ironic. It was almost comical how unlucky I was, and yet luck kept me alive. It was like it was playing with me at this point.

"I gather that Vogyld wants you to help free the dragons from the demons' influence, because you did so with relative ease for him. However, you are hesitant because what he is asking is on a much larger scale with minimal support. It isn't that you don't want to, but that you believe that you can't feasibly do it. And in this case, failure would have disastrous consequences for you." Eros said loud enough for his voice to echo in the clearing.

I nodded waiting for him to continue. He was stating the obvious, but what I needed was a solution. Vogyld suddenly hummed. "I see now. She wants to help, but needs more support to do so." He said calming and settling back down to lay on the ground like a dog or cat. I turned to him both relieved and confused. Was that not already clear?

Hildegard gently tapped my shoulder with her nose and her voice whispered in my ear. "Dragons do not make inferences. They use concise and firm language to communicate, which may come across as crass and confrontational to the other species, but it is what they prefer and understand. Your attempts at delicately handling the situation and stating your concerns were admirable, but only sounded like excuses to him. Eros is now plainly stating your side without doubt or hesitation."

"Like an interpreter..." I muttered feeling a tinge of embarrassment. I had handled this poorly, and I must have looked the fool in front of everyone. I really wasn't cut out for this.

"Lily, you did not know. You were doing wonderfully, and you shouldn't feel this way." Cenderion whispered with a soft smile. I relaxed and realized that Eros would somehow get me out of this.

"Yes, so all we need to do is provide that support." Eros continued. My breath froze in my lungs as my mind jolted. What? "The Dragon Lands would be a poor place for her to offer aid. The dragons are too spread out, she has no resources or allies outside of yourself there, and just the demonic miasma that seeps the lands would take a lot of her energy out of her. Not to mention she is new to these powers and is not using them to their full potential."

"I'm not?" I asked with a raised brow.

Eros chuckled and his glowing eyes glanced my way amused. "You are not. However, we do know where the demons plan to mobilize these dragons. They will all be together, away from their corrupted lands, and at a place where we can be waiting for them. The musical showcase." We all nodded and looked to one another impressed.

"The rest of my allies are heading there as we speak." I agreed.

"And it gives us a few days for me to help you have better control of your magic." Eros pointed out.

"But we'd have to leave now." Hildegard said. "The musical showcase is in five days, and even riding on my back, we will barely make it on time."

I spun around to face the unicorn before me. The sight of her still made me giddy, but it wasn't as heart fluttering as when I saw Lannister. "You would let me ride your back? Isn't that an honor for your Amorita?"
