Camilla.

" This one or this one?" I held two outfits on my hand as I showed Destiny to pick one.

She assessed them for a minute and chose the one on my left hand.

It's the day where I meet Leander's family officially. Actually it's his grandfather's memorial and they have a get together at the Knight's mansion.

From the previous day I was tensed about it and didn't know what to wear ,so I video called Destiny.

" Really, don't you it's a little bit short. I don't want to look like a hooker, I want to make a good impression." I said while she rolled her eyes at me.

" Well you showed me your entire wardrobe. There isn't anything that suits you." She exclaimed.

I gazed at the pile of clothes that was scattered on my bed.

I sighed as I rummaged through the rest of the clothes.

"Wait, wait. Why don't you wear the ones that Aunt Kelly bought you for your birthday? I think it will be appropriate for the function."

That's when I remember about the dress which our aunt bought for me. I didn't get the chance to wear it.

It was a sage green coloured sleeveless dress which reached till my knees. I matched it with same colour heels.

I did a light makeup while having a conversation with my sister. I tied my hair in a low ponytail leaving two strands in front.

After applying a gloss on my lips I bid goodbye to my sister, promising her to fill in all the details that happens today.

I exited the room at the same time, the door to Leander's room open. He abruptly stopped as he saw me walking out of my room.

He stood there star stucked just gazing at me. I shifted nervously while he looked away.

The car ride to his family's manison was silent. Neither of us did initiate a conversation.

" How long is the journey?" I asked breaking the silence.

I didn't expect a response from him but much to my surprise he responded.

" 1 hour." He muttered without looking at me.

I noticed his hands tightened around the steering wheel, I wonder what's going through his mind.

Humming along with the music that blasted through the radio I gazed outside the window.

Leander cleared his throat, diverting my attention to him.

" When we meet my parents, we are supposed to act like couples, ok? I am just reminding you so that you won't embarass me." He said as his eyes focused on me.

I rolled my eyes at his choice of words. The rest of the journey I didn't give him any attention, not to spoil my mood.

I focused on my breathing pattern, just like advised by my therapist to calm my nerves. Even though I have already net his parents but this time I am meeting as their son's girlfriend.

The car stopped in front of a huge gate, breaking my chain of thoughts. Leander honked the car, and soon a security guard opened the gates for us.

My jaw dropped as I take in the big mansion in front of me. Knight mansion was not some ordinary one it could pass as a palace.

Leander opened my side of the car and offered his hand to help me get down. He closed the door behind and wrapped his arms around my waist as my breath hitched upon our close proximity.

He was unaffected by our closeness as we ascended the steps. Leander pressed the doorbell and we waited a few minutes when the door opened by a teenage girl. She throw herself into Leander's arms as soon she saw him, making my heart burn in jealousy. I wonder who is this girl, for whom Lean is smiling so hard.

" Oh my god Crystal!! Look at you, looking so beautiful." Lean gushed taking in her appearance. She has the same blue eyes of Lean, brunette hair complementing her looks.

" Well thank you Lean, it's been so long since I met you." She looked at him adorningly while I gazed between them in awkwardness.

The girl shifted her gaze at me and noticed my presence.

" Oh sorry, I didn't notice you here." She apologized as she looked between me and Lean waiting for some kind of explanation.

" Crystal, this is my girlfriend Camilla. Camilla this is my cousin Crystal." Lean said introducing us to each other.

" Oh my god!! Oh my god!! I can't believe this, you got a girlfriend. Well she is pretty. I assure you Aunt Drea is gonna definitely love her.!!" She jumped in excitement and hugged me tightly.

" Well, come inside everybody is waiting for you." Saying that she dragged us inside the mansion. I didn't get enough time to admire the interior as Crystal pulled me towards the living room where a lot of people were gathered.

" Look guys who just got here?" Crystal announced drawing everyone's attention to us.

" Oh dear! Lean is that you?" A petite old woman stood up from her seat and walked to our direction.

She hugged him tightly as he reciprocated the same.

" It's been so long, Lean. Nowadays you don't even visit your grandma." She pouted as she held his cheeks in her palm.

" Grandma, don't say like that. You know I have been busy with work." He tried to explain as he kissed her cheek.

She rolled her eyes at him and he chuckled at her reaction.

" Grandma, I want you to meet some one." He turned to look at me and he held out his hand to me.

He wrapped his arms around my waist holding  me closer to him.

" Everybody please meet my girlfriend, Camilla."  Leander announced to everyone, as he kissed my cheek making me blush harder.

His grandma  awed staring at the both of us, at the same time whispers erupted around the room.

As I gazed at the people gathered, I noticed his parents looking at is impressed while some of the people have full blown smiles on their faces.

My heart stopped beating for a second when I gazed at the person, who was standing at the corner of the room staring back at us.

Sapphire.
