42. SCHIZOPHRENIA

Camilla.

The beeping sound was the first thing I heard when I opened my eyes.

I struggled while opening my eyes and I felt my throat dry. My eyes skimmed through the room and I recognised that I was in a hospital room by the interior of the room.

I tried to sit up but my body didn't allow to. My eyes fell on my sister who was sleeping on one of the couches placed at the corner of the room.

My throat was too dry as it was difficult me to spell out anything.

" Tiny." I whispered but she didn't wake up.

" Destiny." I called slightly raising my voice. I saw her eyes opening as she wake up from her deep slumber.

Her eyes fell on me and got widened when she realised that I was awake.

" Cami." She sobbed as she rushed to me and hugged me tightly.

" Are you alright Cami?" She asked as she caressed my head.

" Wat-er." I spelled out and she helped me in sitting up and gave me a glass of water.

" What happened?" I asked as she placed the glass on the bedside table.

She looked me directly in the eyes as she glared at me.

" What happened? You are asking me that? I should be the one asking you. What should I do when my sister fall unconscious right at the doorstep and fell into a coma for two days. I was so worried about you." Her outburst made me cry. I gazed at her and took in her appearance. She was definitely worried about me. She had bags under her eyes and she had lost some weight too.

" I am sorry Tiny." I whimpered.

" You don't have say sorry Cami. " She sighed as she take a seat beside me.

She held my hand in hers as she asks. "Tell me what happened?"

" Leander broke up with me." I whispered out as she grumbled under her breath.

" That bastard, how dare he? I warned you Camilla, he is only gonna break your heart. You have been neglecting your health for that scumbag. " She snapped as she curses at him.

" But I love him ,Tiny." I whimpered as tears brimmed my eyes.

" Cami, you have been so hung up on him that you forgot yourself. You have prioritised him that you forgot about the people who actually cares about you. Your condition has relapsed but you were so obsessed with him that you started neglecting your health. " She explained as tears leaked my eyes.

She was right , I have to prioritise myself. I was so obsessed with him  that I actually forgot about the people who cares for deeply.

Leander

It's been two days since I threw Camilla out of my life. Since then I have been living with my parent. Mama asked me several times what happened but I didn't answer her.

Daniel tried to contact me several times but I cut everyone out of my life. I haven't told him to that I broke up with Camilla. He would burst out when he hears about it.

" What are you thinking about, son?" Dad's voice interrupted my thoughts.

He took a seat opposite mine on the gazebo on the backyard. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't hear him coming.

I sighed as I stared at the beautiful garden ahead. Mama was the one who put efforts in creating this beautiful garden.

" What's the matter Lean? I should have asked you when you came here two days back. But I thought you have grown up , you would deal with your own problems, but seeing you mop around I couldn't stay still." He gazed at me curiously. " Your mother is concerned about you Lean."
