39. FALL

Camilla.

I was feeling ecstatic.

Somebody just pinch me. I can't believe Leander professed his love for me. We were currently laying in his bed cuddling each other.

" We should go down before they think we are doing something unholy." He chuckled as I said.

" Let them think what ever they want. But I haven't been with you for the past two weeks. So let me have this moment." He said as he placed in his on my chest as his arms tightened around me.

" Your mother seems pretty upset today." I said as I drew circles on his back.

He sighed as he lifted his head to gaze at me.

" She is disturbed because her favourite son doesn't have enough time to visit her. Not only her, I know dad also pretty much sad about not seeing Alex around. But he doesn't show it." He explains.

" If he can't come here , why don't your parents visit him?"

" They did, dad and mom visits him twice a year but he would either busy with his studies or with his girlfriend." He explains.

I nodded my head in understanding.

" Forget about all this, why don't discuss about us?" He asked as a sly smirk etched his face.

" What do you want to discuss about us?" I asked with a seductive smile.

" About you moving back with me?" I shifted nervously as he mentioned me shifting back with him.

" What, is there a problem?" He questioned as he noticed my frown.

" Lean, I want to take things slow. I know we lived together for almost two months but now I can't."

" I know you are afraid Camilla, but I assure you I want to take things the right way. If it's that what you want then I don't have any objection." I smiled gratefully as I pecked his lips.

" Thank you for understanding, Lean." He smiled softly.

A big smile was etched on my face as 8 exit Leander's room. Finally everythimg is falling in place.

As I was about to head downstairs I noticed a presence at the top of the stairs.

She scowled at me as I reach near her. Neglecting her I stalked downstairs but she grabbed my hands before I could step down.

" What?" I glowered at her.

Melissa glared at me as she held my hand.

" You didn't take advice and leave Lean right? You know he doesn't love--"

" He loves me." I interrupted as she frowned at me. " You think you can break us apart by falsely accusing him. No, he loves me and that's enough for me to stay with him. "

" You will pay for this." She yelled as she shoved me.

I chuckled seeing her anger.

" Ow poor Melissa, upset that you didn't get your prince charming. I am warning you again, think before you challenge me." I taunted her and I was satisfied in seeing her face contort with anger.

From the corner of my eyes I saw Arianna coming towards the hallway and was about to walk past the staircase.

I gazed back at Melissa who was fuming in anger.

" Leander is mine, he will always be mine. You won't have him. As long as he is with me you won't get him, you little girl." That was her breaking point as she shoved me again and me being dramatic I slipped from the stairs and rolled down.

I screamed as I landed right on the floor. Arianna saw everything and she rushed to me.

" Lean, mom, dad. Come fast. Camilla slipped down the stairs." She yelled out as she helped me in getting up.

Several footsteps heard rushing towards us.

" Camilla, what happened?" Leander asked worriedly as he saw me sitting on the bottom of the stairs. He rushed towards me helping me stand up as he inspected me for any injuries.

" Are you ok?" He questioned concern lacing his voice while I nodded my head assuring him.

" Melissa pushed her and she fell down the stairs." Arianna replied as everybody looked shocked by her revelation.

" What?" Andrea asked shocked not believing what her daughter said.

I gazed at Melissa who was still standing at the top with a worried looking face.

She rushed downstairs as she heard Arianna accusing her.

" Melissa, did you push Camilla?" Andrea asked with so much anger on her face.

" No, aunt I didn't, it was a mistake." She tried to reason.

" Mom, I saw it with my own eyes that Melissa shoving her down." Arianna said as the entire crowd believed her.

" We will  discuss about that later, Lean you take Camilla to your room. Make sure she is not hurt." His father orders as Leander scoops me in his arms and walks us up to his room. I gazed at Melissa who has a dejected look on her face as I gave her smug smile without anyone noticing.

" Lean, I didn't do it." Melissa tried to tell but he raised his hand as he puts me down on his bed.

" Don't, Melissa. I don't want to listen any word from you. I didn't knew you would hurt Camilla just because I rejected you." He yelled as I stared at him in shock. She proposed to him???

"Lean I swear I didn't do it deliberately. She is not what you think. She is evil. " Melissa shouted as tears brimmed her eyes.

" Now you are falsely accusing my girlfriend. Leave Melissa, before I throw you out." He threatened her as she exited the room dejected but not before giving me a death stare.

" Are you alright?" Leander asks me averting my gaze from her.

" Yeah, I am alright. I got scared when she pushed me but I am fine." He sighed as he took a seat beside me.

" I am sorry Camilla , I didn't knew she would be capable to do such thing. I don't know why she did such stupid thing, I am relieved that you didn't get hurt." He rambled.

" Hey Lean, I am alright. I am right here. It's ok. "

" It's not what if something happened to you. I wouldn't forgive myself if anything. " He said as tears brimmed his eyes.

" Shhh. It's alright. I am ok. I am here." I consoled him as he encircled me in his arms.

I internally smirk as I think about everything happened this evening. Finally Melissa is out of the picture and no one will believe her, and Leander is officially mine.

I tightened my hold around him not letting him go. You are mine Leander,and I will be till the last.

Others say it's madness, but it's my obsession.

He is mine.
