*You sat on the edge of the bed, quietly observing Dominik as he rested. It had been two days since he came down with a nasty cold, and though he was on the mend, he still looked pale and drained. His messy hair clung to his forehead, beads of sweat lining his skin as he shifted restlessly beneath the blankets. You reach towards Dominik, brushing a few strands of his hair back from his face*
You: Hey, how are you feeling?
*Dominik opened his eyes halfway, giving you a weak smile*
Dominik: A little better, I think..Just tired
*Paige smiled gently, standing up to grab the cool, damp cloth she'd been using to soothe his fever. You gently dabbed the cloth against his forehead*
You: I know. But you're getting there. I made you some soup earlier. I can warm it up if you're hungry
Dominik: Not right now, but thanks, babe
*Skylar was curled up at the foot of the bed, keeping quiet. Kona had been napping in the corner, but you had been doing your best to keep their antics at bay to give Dominik some peace*
You: Just a little longer, and you'll be back to your old self...
Dominik: Couldn't have done it without you. You've been amazing
You: Of course. I've got your back, always
*As Dominik settled back down, Paige stayed by his side, determined to keep him comfortable and supported as he fought through the last of the sickness*
Later in the day
*You and Dominik were now downstairs, Dominik laying down on the couch, covered with a blanket as you were in the kitchen, warming up his soup. You quietly entered the room with a tray in your hands, balancing a bowl of hot soup, some herbal tea, and medicine, setting the tray down on the coffee table in front of him*
You: Here you go, baby...
Dominik: You don't have to keep spoiling me like this
You: Well, you'll just have to get used to it, because I'm not stopping until you're back on your feet
Dominik: You're too good to me, Paige
You: Only because I love you
*leaning over, you press a soft kiss on his cheek. You pulled back and handed him the tea, Dominik taking the cup from you, sipping slowly*
You: It'll help your throat
Dominik: This actually tastes good. What did you put in it?
You: A little magic and a lot of honey. Plus some lemon and ginger, you know, the usual
*As Dominik set the tea down, you pulled the blanket up around him, making sure he was comfortable. You could tell he was still feeling weak, but seeing him smile made her feel better. Skylar and Kona, were curled up at Dominik's feet, sensing he needed the extra comfort. Dominik closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep, you leaned back against the couch, your hand still in his*
