"Hi Sheena Aunty" Sayi greeted the librarian cheerfully.

"Hey dear! Long time no see" Sheena, a lady in her 40s, hugged her warmly.

"Don't worry, Aunty, I'm back now. Let's gossip about the town after I meet my 'boyfriends'" Sayi winked mischievously as she walked towards the romantic novel section.

Sheena chuckled and headed back to the counter.

The city was in the midst of a strike for water and electricity, so Sayi's college had given her a two-day holiday. She was making the most of it in the library.

Three hours later, her stomach grumbled, signaling hunger. She closed the book and returned it to the shelf.

She walked over to Sheena's desk and signed her name in the logbook.

"So dear, have you found a boyfriend yet? It's your age, you should meet people and get to know them" Sheena asked, curious. Surely, someone as pretty as Sayi deserved the world. But who would help her realize her feelings for Siddh?

"Unless it's mad, passionate, straight-out-of-a-romance-book love, I don't want it" Sayi sighed, unaware that her words were being overheard by someone folding his arms and leaning against the door, admiring her beauty.

"Trust me, jaan, out of all the love stories you read, ours will be my favorite" he whispered in her ear.

Sayi jumped a bit in surprise and turned to find Siddh standing beside her with a smirk.

"Siddh? You scared me! God," she exclaimed, placing a hand on her heart. She couldn't help but smile at his words.

"Who's this handsome guy?" Sheena asked, curious.

"My fr..." Sayi started to introduce him.

"I dare you to complete that" Siddh interrupted, his tone teasing yet calm.

"My BFF" she finished, forcing a smile.

Shaking his head, he said, "Let's go" and walked ahead.

"He's ridiculously hot" Sheena winked, clearly shipping them.

Aarav, who was standing a bit away, overheard their entire conversation.

Sayi glanced at him, engrossed in his phone with his back turned towards them.

"He's annoying" she said, bidding goodbye to Sheena.

"But you love me?" Siddh turned towards her immediately.

"Doesn't change the fact that you're annoying" Sayi replied, flipping her hair back and walking out.

Unbeknownst to her, Aarav remained rooted in his place, unable to believe that she had admitted to loving Siddh.

"So, you love me" Aarav ran towards her. Only then did it register what she had said absentmindedly.

She looked at Siddh, who was smirking at her with a smile.

"Oyeee, you tricked me!" she said, feeling flustered and pointing her index finger at him, trying to look serious.

He pulled her by the index finger, and she crashed against his chest.

She lifted her face and looked at him, still wondering how this man had effortlessly pulled her towards him. She pouted, and he chuckled at her cute expression.
