Aarav's POV
I arrived home, parked the car, and as I was about to head inside, I spotted her backpack in the backseat – she must have forgotten it. Koi baat nahi, mujhe bahana mil gaya usse dobara milne ka.
Picking it up, I strolled into the house, replaying today's events in my mind. In the moonlight, she looked enchanting. Adorned in a v-neck crop top paired with jeans, her hair flowing freely with a scrunch band on her hand.
Miss Sayi Sharma, it's hard to resist thinking of you. You're ruling me with mere thoughts of yours.
Entering the hall, I saw Adi and Aadhya having a pillow fight. It's almost midnight, but these kids are still at it. Aadhya threw a cushion at Adi, and he retaliated with water. They didn't notice my presence.
"what the hell!," I shouted. Aadhya dodged it, but water splashed on me. The bag was drenched. "Sorry bhayya," they mumbled, scared, and hurriedly escaped to their rooms.
Ignoring them, I made my way to the room, feeling exhausted. After freshening up and changing, I emptied her backpack and gave it a quick clean. That's when I found a novel, lipstick, a bracelet, and the diary.
A diary? My heart thumped hard. Does this tell me who she is? Maybe this diary will prove I'm not wrong – she's the one I've been loving for these years. I opened the diary with trembling hands. I feel my hands are sweating. I'm scared, but part of me says I'm not wrong about her.As I delved into her diary, quickly pulling out the diary from the bedside drawer and comparing them, relief washed over me. Same handwriting.
"Hello love."
"Hello love!" The same endearment echoed in the diary.
I took a deep breath, sighing in relief. It's her! I knew it! She is the one! My love! My sunshine! A lone tear escaped from my eye thinking about her.
In that moment, the weight of uncertainty lifted, replaced by a sense of completeness. The mere thought of being with her filled my soul with an indescribable warmth. It was like finding the missing piece of a puzzle that had haunted me for years.
I took the bracelet in my hands – it looks familiar. After a few minutes, it clicked. I opened my mobile and checked the video footage of Dad's accident, the only clue I had found about my love. It's the same. Everything connects.
My heart dances with joy. I am the happiest person on this earth. Finally, I get to meet you, jaan. Thank you. Now that I have you, I will never let you go. I will hold on to this forever.
Then I took the novel. Ugh. Why does she have to carry this every time? Opening it, I could feel a pang of jealousy creeping through me.
Sitting on my bed with the novel and her new diary, I delved into the pages.
