"Let's go home, it's getting darker" he said.
We walked to the bike. This time he was driving, and I sat at the back. I held him by his shoulders, but gently, he took my palms and wrapped them around his torso. He smiled often, looking at my hands. I rested my head against his back, relaxing in his warmth.
I closed my eyes, feeling the breeze of nature. After a few minutes, a splendid aroma hit my nostrils. I opened my eyes slowly and saw the food stalls. Oh! We were near my home.
"Mmm, this food smells so tempting. Pav bhaji!" I squealed, looking at the stall.
Sidh immediately stopped the bike upon hearing my voice.
I giggled, looking at him. We walked to the food stall. There was a huge rush, and it looked like we had to wait. Never mind, if we get to eat awesome food, it is worth waiting.
I looked at the boy taking orders. "Chotu, idhar aana," I called him.
"What do you want to eat, didi?" he asked with a smile.
"Ek plate pav bhaji," Sidh said. Why doesn’t he eat anything? Well, I don’t have the energy to argue.
I tapped my foot impatiently, waiting for the order. After 10 minutes, the little one came with a plate of pav bhaji.
"Thank you" I smiled. He looked adorable.
I was about to take the plate, but Sidh insisted on holding it. I touched the edge of the plate—it was hot. In the world of boys, he is my gentleman.
"My gentleman" did you hear that? My heart asked me.
"Shut up! I'm hungry" I replied.
"Oh! Why don't you ask him to make you?" my she-devil activated.
My sinful mind already imagined this, making me close my eyes shut. Books have spoiled me way too much.
"Sayi!" I opened my eyes at Sidh's voice.
"Eat" he gestured towards the plate.
I tore the bread, dipped it into the curry, and took a bite. "Umm...heaven" I mumbled, savoring the flavor.
I could feel his gaze on me. I didn’t dare to look up; otherwise, I would not be able to eat this pav bhaji.
"Usse dekh ke hi mera dil bhar jata hai."
"What am I even saying? Lagta hai main pagal ho gaya hoon." I muttered to myself, feeling a mix of confusion and embarrassment.
