"Meera, go to the terrace and get the clothes. It will rain soon" Mumma yelled from the garden, doing the evening Pooja to the Tulasi plant.

I was enjoying a TV show, lazily lying on the bean bag.

Meera huffed and got up from her place, walking towards me. I knew what was coming. I pretended to sleep.

I could feel her standing near me. She pulled the hem of my dress, but would I open my eyes? No.

"Didiiiiiii, I know you're awake. Come and help me" she whined, pulling my dress more.

Still, I didn't budge and continued my act.

Suddenly, I gasped as I felt water splashing on me. I opened my eyes to see Meera holding an empty jug and laughing as she ran away.

"Meeraaaaaa!" I yelled, chasing after her.

I couldn't find her on the terrace. I slowly walked to the water tank. There she was, sitting with her legs and arms folded.

I pulled her ear. "Ouchhhhh!" she screamed in pain.

"Come, let's take the clothes" I said. She nodded, laughing.

We both picked the clothes from the rope and collected the hanging clips. The rain slowly started pouring down. The smell of rain always hits differently.

I looked at Meera, and she nodded playfully. We quickly placed the clothes in the room. Yes, we have a room on the terrace too. In the summers, we mostly sleep here under the moonlight.

We came out of the room. "Let's start" she smirked, grabbing the violin from the table.

We usually play a game under the rain. We have to escape the raindrops pouring from the roof by carefully passing through them.

Meera started playing the violin, and I followed the rhythm, dancing and carefully dodging the raindrops falling from the roof.

I stumbled on my feet when Meera suddenly pushed me.

Now I was outside the roof shelter. The water began to take its speed. I laughed, spreading my arms wide and closing my eyes, feeling the rain on me.

I pulled Meera slowly, and she passed me the violin. I played it as we both began dancing in the rain, filling the air with our laughter.

"Sayi, Meera, where are you?" We heard Mathashree's voice, making us stop in our tracks.

"Mar gayi" we both said, looking at each other. We both are sensitive to the climate; if she saw us completely drenched like this, she would come to her Kallima avatar and punish us.

We ran to pick up the clothes. We both changed into dry clothes and walked to the living room.

We looked for Ma, but she was nowhere to be found, so we moved to their bedroom.
