32. Angry?

Author's pov:

Sayi is over the moon today. Why not? She is used to doing her assignments and others' too. Now she has met someone who will write hers. She is literally living everyone's dream.

"Sharara Shara me hu ek sharara," she sings in a jolly mood, dancing little steps and humming on the road while walking.

She reaches home using public transport. Though Aarav insisted on dropping her at her home, she declined, telling him to go and start writing. Obviously, the great Aarav Malhotra has to obey our madam's order. He was like, "Uske aage koi bol sakta hai kya?"

"Mathashree, I am very hungry. Let's eat early today," she yelled, entering the house.

"How many times have I told you to stop speaking loudly? No one is deaf here," her mother, Janaki, twisted her right ear playfully.

"Ouchh Mathashree, chodo, dard ho raha hai," she said dramatically.

"Isliye toh kiya tha," her mother said and left for the kitchen.

Soon everyone came and joined for dinner. Sayi enthusiastically shared today's incident with her family, from the assignments to Aarav helping her. One thing her family noticed is her shine whenever she speaks of him. She seems happier with him. Janaki and Raghav understood that she had started welcoming him into her life. They felt very happy.

"Mathashree, I'm done. I am going for a walk. Meera, will you join?" she asked after doing the dishes.

"I'm sleepy," Meera whined.

"Come back early," her mother said. Sayi simply nodded.

Before leaving the house, she took the leftover food and made her way out. She took her mobile and messaged Dheeraj.

Sayi: Dheeraj, I am outside our house. Join for walking.

Dheeraj:5 min, I am having my dinner.

Sayi:What if you are late?

Dheeraj: Then read this message again.

Sayi:🌝🌝

She sighed and started walking with the food bowl in her hands. She noticed a dog sitting under a tree. She gulped, looking at the dog. Though it's a small creature, who's gonna tell her it's not a dinosaur which will harm people? She slowly took the stick and walked near it, her hands shaking a little, taking slow steps to reach the dog.

She placed the food bowl near the dog and took little steps backward. When she noticed the dog started eating the food, she sighed and kept her left hand on her waist, observing the dog. She tapped the ground 2-3 times with the stick to get the dog's attention.

"Look! I know I'm pretty, but you guys don't have to follow me everywhere whenever I come to walk," she said, pointing the stick at the dog.

The dog just looked at her and started eating the food again.

"You, Jimmy," she addressed the dog, "tell your family and friends not to bark at me whenever I come." She tried to reason with her fear of the dog.

The dog gave a low bark as if it understood her.

"Don't think I hate you all and your friends. I find you guys very attractive and lovely when you maintain social distance from me. I have been scared of you all since childhood," she said.

"Okay? How was the food?" she asked, blinking her eyes. Jimmy shook his head in agreement.

Another dog started coming towards her. She immediately jumped onto the veranda. That dog literally started barking at her. She was hell scared now.
