The finale

Saoirse’s POV

Years had passed since the incident with Reeve, and Leon and i had grown even closer. Our bond strengthened through the challenges we faced, and now we were partners in life and business. With the support of Leon’s parents, we had built our own café, a dream come true for both of us.

After a particularly busy day, we closed up the café and Leon turned to me with a familiar smile. “How about a trip to the beach?” he asked.

“Sige, mag unwind tayong dalawa.” i replied, already feeling the stress of the day melt away at the thought of the ocean.

We walked along the shore, the cool breeze tangling in our hair. We settled down on the sand, letting the sound of the waves calm our minds.

After a moment of silence, Leon spoke. “Ang dami kong natutunan sa mga naranasan natin.”

I nodded in agreement. “Ako rin. It opened my eyes to see the world in a new light. Even the hard times have their lessons.”

Leon looked out at the horizon, a wistful smile on his face. “It’s been a bittersweet journey, but i’m happy for the moments i spent with you. Naalala ko pa yung rason kung paano tayo nagkalilala, natatawa parin ako hanggang ngayon.”

I chuckled, reminiscing about those early days. “Who would've thought that a small mistake like that could lead us here?”

Leon turned to face me, his eyes filled with emotion. Slowly, he kneeled on one knee, catching me completely off guard. My heart pounded in my chest as he began to speak.

“Someone once asked me what it felt like to love you,” he began, his voice steady and sincere. “,Loving you is like breathing. It’s something I can’t live without, something that sustains me every day. The thought of a life without you is like imagining a life without air—impossible. You are my oxygen, Saoirse. Will you spend your lifetime with me?”

Tears welled up in my eyes, and i couldn’t keep myself from crying and smiling at the same time. My heart felt like it was about to burst with happiness. “Leon, you are the beat to my heart, the breath in my lungs. Life without you isn’t just unimaginable—it’s impossible. I will spend every day making our journey as beautiful as the day we first tied our souls.”

Leon slipped the ring onto my finger, and we both laughed and cried, holding each other close as the waves whispered our promise to the world. Our journey had come full circle, and the future stretched out before us, filled with endless possibilities.

In that moment, under the starry sky and with the ocean as our witness, we knew that no matter what challenges lay ahead, we would face them together, forever bound by love, with the guide of the universe.
