-At School, on the Skip Side-
There's a class that only specific students take. It's for extra credit, but it's also just for students that need extra help. Although, some students just come to this class to socialize with those they can't see on a daily basis. "Hi Jewel." Anabelle greeted her friend. Jewel smiled. "Hey." She said. "Why are you here? You don't need any extra credit." Anabelle said confused. "True, but with work and taking care of my siblings, this is really the only chance I get to see you." Jewel explained. "I guess that's true, but I don't think your siblings really need you all that much. I mean, Ramsey is literally at that table over there." Anabelle pointed out. Jewel turned to look at her brother, and then looked back at Anabelle. "And I'm sure your sister is with her sweetheart like always." Anabelle said. "Yeah. That's exactly why I need to watch over them." Jewel said in a 'duh' tone. "Why?" Anabelle sat down next to her. "Well, Lindi and her boy toy Buckwheat are a little too loving. I'm sure I'll be buying a pregnancy test for her soon enough. And Ramsey is having a secret affair with one of those smuts over there." Jewel admitted. "What? Who?" Anabelle was invested now. "See the short one with the light pink hair? The one who looks like a walking strawberry?" Jewel gestured. Anabelle glanced across the room and spotted her. "Really? I wouldn't have pegged her as Ramsey's type." She said. "Apparently she is. That's Fluffy." Jewel said. "She looks fluffy. But anyway, why haven't you stopped it? Ramsey could get really hurt if someone found out." Anabelle said. "Yeah, but who am I to judge. He's happy and that's all that matters." Jewel said. "Wow. I wish you were my sister. You actually care." Anabelle huffed. "Your sister cares." Jewel said. "Ha! Muffin only cares about her girlfriend. She and Tauri are always out doing couple stuff. Plus, she's always mad at me for not moving out yet. It's our house. Why should I have to move?" Anabelle ranted. Jewel just listened to her, and when she was done, she gave her friend a minute to breathe. "If it makes you feel better, I care about you." She told her. Anabelle smiled. "I know. You're a great friend." She said cheerfully. Jewels eye twitched. "Yep. I love being just friends." She gritted through her teeth.
"Ramsey? Ramsey!" Valor shook him out of a trance. "Huh? What?" Ramsey asked. "What was number four? I didn't hear it and Spotter won't tell me." Valor said. "Shoulda been listening." Spotter shrugged. "I was listening! I just couldn't hear over the sound of you leaning back in that squeaky chair!" Valor exclaimed. Spotter leaned back forward. "I still got the answer though." He smirked. Valor rolled his eyes. "It was C." Ramsey said. "Look at that! He got it and he was looking at the smut girls ass!" Spotter spat. Valor growled. "What?! No I wasn't, I... keep your voice down if you're gonna say things like that." Ramsey said. "We all know you like Fluffy, Ram. It's weird, but we don't care." Spotter said. "I'm actually dating her." Ramsey admitted. "What?!" His friends exclaimed. "Shh! Stop yelling. Yes. We're together. Seven months." He said. "Seven?! What the hell!" Spotter yelled. "Shut up!" Ramsey snapped back. "Good for you." Valor smiled. "What? No. Not good. Relationships suck and you being in one with pinky over there is not ok!" Spotter snapped. "So much for not caring." Valor mumbled. "Oh please. You're just mad because Buckwheat is always busy with Lindi so you have to hang out with us. I bet you think I'm gonna ignore you like he does." Ramsey spat. Spotter sighed and looked down. "We're roommates. Been best friends forever and now that he has Lindi, it's like I don't exist." He said. "I thought you liked him and were just jealous." Valor said. "What?! No! I like... not him. I don't like him like that." Spotter looked away nervously. "You like someone?" Ramsey asked. "We're done talking now." Spotter quickly mumbled.
-After Class-
Sugar came out of the building to find Cookie in the parking lot. "Oh! Hey." She smiled nervously. "Hey Sugar. Nice to see you. You look good." He smiled back. Sugar giggled a little. "You saw me a few hours ago." She said. "And yet, you're still just as ravishing." Cookie said. Sugars face went red immediately. "Thank you. And you are looking quite handsome." She said. He smiled at her. "What are you doing here anyway?" She asked. "Hmm? Oh I'm picking up Tuffy, Pablo, and Dexter." He said. "Can't Dexter drive?" Sugar asked. "Yeah, but Nacho has the car and asked if I could get them. Hey, did they invite you to their party?" Cookie asked. "Yeah. I have a lifetime pass, like most people." Sugar laughed. "Well um, if you want, we could go together." He suggested. Sugar took a deep breath as not to pass out. "Like a date?" She asked nervously. He shrugged with a smile. "Yeah." He said. She smiled. "Sure. That sounds great. Maybe you could come with me to find something to wear beforehand." Sugar suggested. Cookie smiled. "I'd like that. Then you can help me pick something too. Although, let's not tell Tuffy about this. He'll start nagging me about coming along." He said. "Deal, and in return, maybe you can ask him to stop hitting on Sherbet. She's not interested." Sugar said. "Oh I know, and so does he. But unfortunately, he can't move on." Cookie said. "Yeah we noticed." She said. They laughed together as the boys walked out to them. "Whelp, looks like I gotta go. I'll text you about our date ok?" Cookie asked. Sugars heart fluttered at his words. "Yeah. Ok. I'll see you around." She walked away.
"Buckwheat! I'm back! I got burgers for dinner. Are you home?" Spotter shouted. "Yeah! In here!" Buckwheat shouted back. Spotter walked into their living room with the bag of fast food. To no surprise at all, Buckwheat was sitting on the couch with his arm around Lindi. Spotter frowned at their cuteness. "Since I knew you were here, and I know you're staying over, I got you food too." He told Lindi. "Oh. Thanks Spotter. You didn't have to do that." Lindi smiled. He shrugged. "No problem. Just please call your sister to tell her you're staying before she gets up my ass about it." He said. "I texted her earlier. She's having Anabelle over anyway so I doubt she'll miss me." Lindi shrugged. "You put bacon on it! Nice!" Buckwheat cheered. Spotter rolled his eyes and took his food. He watched the couple for a moment before he got fed up. "Screw this. I'm going to the Perez house." He said, and left. "Tell Nacho I said hi!" Buckwheat yelled.
Nacho was happy to have Spotter over. "Dexter's just in there. He's setting up his playlist so don't be surprised if you get stuck hearing it over and over again." He said. Spotter shrugged. "Doesn't sound like a problem to me." He walked into Dexter's room. Dexter was sitting at his desk, staring at his computer with his headphones on. Spotter tapped his shoulder and he paused the playlist. "I said not to bug me while I'm- oh! Hey Spotter." Dexter said. "Hey. Sorry. I just got here." He shrugged. "You're fine. Buckwheat and Lindi being gross again?" Dexter asked. "You know it. Came here to escape. You mind if I eat while you do your thing?" Spotter asked. "Yeah go ahead, but you gotta give me some fries." He said. "Here. I don't like their fries anyway." Spotter put the cup of fries on Dexter's desk. Dexter popped one in his mouth and went back to his playlist. Spotter ate his burger and watched Dexter work. He did this a lot. Whenever he didn't want to put up with Buckwheat's crap. Dexter paused again and turned to Spotter. "Hey." He said. Spotter raised an eyebrow. "It won't be like this forever you know." He said. "I'm pretty sure it will be. I don't think they'll ever break up." Spotter said. "What? No. I meant you being alone. At least romantically." Dexter clarified. "Oh. I know that. I just don't feel like really trying for it right now." Spotter said. "Uh huh. You're just lazy. I bet love is closer than you think." Dexter said. "Oh yeah? And where's yours? The computer?" Spotter teased. "Oh shut up." Dexter rolled his eyes and turned away again. Spotter smiled at him and went back to his food.
