-At the Skip castle-

Frights woke up with a mission. Today was the day she would ask her mothers a question she had been dreading. She got dressed and cleaned up before going to see them in the throne room. She marched down the hall confidently and came up on the doors guarded by the twin guards. One girl and one boy. "Step aside guys. I need to speak with my moms." Frights told them. "Sorry. No can do princess. We have orders to let no one in under any circumstances." Valor, the boy, said. He was short for a seventeen year old guy. He had short blue hair to match his bright blue eyes. His sister was not happy with him, nor was she ever happy with him. "She's their daughter idiot. She can go in whenever she wants. Right this way your majesty." She told her. "What?! But Firecracker! We'll be fired." Valor pouted. "We're tenure dumbass. We can't get fired." She said. Firecracker opened the door and Frights walked into the throne room.

"Hey moms." Frights greeted them. The two women were sat in the same throne. One of them was bored and scrolling through her phone. The other was fast asleep in her lovers lap. Shadow, the one who was awake, looked up. "Hi Frights." She greeted. "Is she ok?" Frights pointed to her sleeping mother. Shadow smiled down at her sleeping partner. "Honey wake up. Our daughter is here to see us." she mumbled, softly rubbing her partners back. The queen slowly woke up and yawned. "What?" she asked confused. "I think Frights has a question. Right?" Shadow asked her daughter. Frights nodded. "Yes, I uh... I want to go to school." She told them. Potion, being newly awakened, was not happy. She looked to her lover. "You woke me up for this?" She grumbled. Shadow rolled her eyes and shoved Potion off her. Potion groaned and they both stood up to walk to their daughter. "You are in school." Shadow said confused. "Yes, but I meant public... school." Frights said slowly. Shadow was unfazed, but Potion freaked out. "You want a what!?" she shrieked. "Calm down dear." Shadow said. "No Shade. This isn't ok! You can't go to public school." Potion exclaimed. "Why not?" Frights asked. "Because the only school open is the one that's mixed with those stupid smuts!" She exclaimed. "They're Smots darling, and I don't think it's that big of a deal. They do a good job of keeping the two kingdoms separated. What's the worst that could happen?" Shadow shrugged. "Are you serious? Please babe. You've gotta trust me. You've never met Smots. I have! They are no good." Potion spat. "Relax. It'll be fine. Of course you can go to school Frights." Shadow said. "What! No she ca-" Before Potion could finish, Shadow spun around and glared at her as hard as she could. Potion stopped and huffed in annoyance, knowing she couldn't win this. "Thank you moms." Frights smiled.

Firecracker and Valor came into the room but stayed by the door. "I'm sorry to interrupt ma'am but I just wanted to let you know that Valor and I will be leaving for school now." Firecracker said. "Ah, just one moment Firecracker!" Potion stopped her. Firecracker turned to her confused. "Yes your majesty?" She asked. Shadow leaned over. "What are you doing?" She mumbled angrily. "Just let me have this." Potion mumbled back. "Firecracker, I need you to watch over Frights. She will be going to school with you from now on." She said. Firecracker hesitated. "Do I get paid extra?" She asked. Frights glared back at her. "Yeah I'll give you some payment." She cracked her knuckles. Firecracker huffed. "Fine. Yeah lets go." She caved.

-At school-

Valor drove them to school, bouncing along to the radio the whole time. "If you keep singing, I will cut your tongue out." Firecracker threatened. Valor didn't listen. He was too into the song, and continued singing all the way to school. He parked the car and they hopped out. "Ugh! I'm gonna have to wash my ears out with soap!" Firecracker groaned and stormed off. Valor still didn't notice. He was struggling to lock the car. Frights took the car keys from him and locked it. He smiled nervously. "Sorry." He said. "Don't worry about it. You were having fun. That's all that matters. Besides, I think you're a good singer." Frights winked and tossed him the keys. He fumbled with them before finally catching them and following the the girls into school.
