-At Gym-

Firecracker and Valor had gone back to the castle during lunch to continue working, as they do everyday. Today though, on the way back to school, they got caught in traffic, and were late coming into Gym. So, Frights had to go out on her own and make some new friends. She spotted a duo of girls, sitting in the shade, and went over to them. "Hi." She waved politely. "Woah! Your majesty!" One of the girls curtsied immediately. Frights laughed nervously. "You don't have to do that. I go to school here now and I just wanted to make a friend. You can just call me Frights." She said politely. "Dumbass." The other girl mumbled to her friend. The first girl stood up and glared at her friend. Her friend smiled innocently. "It's nice to meet you Frights. I'm Sherbet." The friend introduced herself. "Yes, and I'm Sugar." The first girl said. "Nice to meet you." Frights smiled. "So what brings you to this shitty school? Was private school not loud enough?" Sherbet asked sarcastically. "It was actually very boring, so I guess you could say yes. It wasn't loud enough." Frights agreed. Sherbet huffed a laugh. "You came all by yourself?" Sugar asked. "My body guards go here too, but they're late" Frights explained. "I'm sure they'll show up soon." Sugar smiled.

-At the Smot Castle-

Alpine knocked on his sisters bedroom door. "Glitz! Mother and Father want to see us! Hurry up!" He said. "Just a second! I'm almost done with my makeup!" Glitzy called back to him. He sighed and waited in the hallway for her. After a few minutes, she emerged. "Ok. Let's go see Mother and Father." She said. Alpine sighed and followed her. "I don't know how that takes you so long." He complained. "I put effort into my look, unlike some people." Glitzy glared at him. "Excuse me? I'll let you know that my hair routine takes a good ten minutes and that this suit is more expensive than all those fake oils you put your face." He snapped. "Mhm. Sure." She hummed.

The two siblings walked into their parents throne room. Alpine bowed and Glitzy curtsied. "Hello Mother. Hello Father." They greeted. "Why are you late? Glitzy still penciling on those brows?" Maple asked. Glitzy scowled at her cousin. Maple is the Duke of their kingdom. "That's enough, you two." Peppermint said. "Yes Mother." Glitzy looked down. "You wanted to talk with us?" Alpine asked. "Yes. We've decided to send you to public school." Tinsel said. "What?! But Father-!" Glitzy protested, but before she could continue, her mother lifted a hand for her to be quiet. "Why Father? Is something wrong with our school?" Alpine asked. "It's been shut down due to budget cuts." Tinsel explained. "You'll be continuing your studies at this new school, and Maple will be going with you to keep you safe." Peppermint said. "What?! Hey! You never told me that! I already finished school!" Maple protested. "Would you rather go into knight training like your father wished?" Tinsel asked him. Maple groaned and looked down. "No." He sighed. "Perfect! Then it isn't a problem. Now go to school. From what I understand, you're already late." Tinsel said.

-Back at Gym-

While the boys practiced for football, the girls started to get bored of watching. Sydney got an idea. "Hey girls, come on, we're getting out of here." She said. "You mean skip?" Reagan asked. "Yes. It's not like Coach Stripes wont let us go." Sydney said. "Are you insane? Like actually?" Glamour asked. "Shut up Glamour. Now come on." Sydney dragged them out.

Frights had been in deep conversation with Sherbet and Sugar. "Them over there. Thats Jewel and Anabelle. Anabelle lives with her sister Muffin, and Muffin's girlfriend Tauri. And Jewel lives with her siblings. Over there, that's her younger sister Lindi, and that over there is her younger brother Ramsey." Sugar said. Frights had asked for the rundown, and that's exactly what she was getting. "That guy there is Buckwheat. He's Lindi's boyfriend. And that other guy is Spotter. He's Buckwheat's roommate." Sugar explained. "That fact that you know all this is deeply disturbing." Sherbet pointed out. "Shut up. Anyway, those boys over there. That's Nacho, Dexter, and Pablo. They throw some crazy parties! Oh! There's actually one coming up. You should see if you can make it. They welcome everyone, so you're just automatically invited." Sugar said. "Oh, um... I'll see if I can go." Frights shrugged. Sherbet groaned to herself. "Oh no. The dummies are coming." She groaned. Sugar looked over. "Who?" Frights asked. Two boys walked to them. "Hey Sugar. Sherbet." One of them greeted. "Hi Cookie. This is our new friend Frights." Sugar introduced her. "Nice to meet you." Frights smiled. "Woah! Friends with the princess? Good on you Sugar." Cookie smiled. Sugar blushed and smiled at the ground. "Well Frights, this is my brother Tuffy." Cookie said. Tuffy smiled at Frights. "You two look kinda familiar." Frights said. "Our dad is the weather man on the news." Tuffy said. "Oh! Ok, I see it." Frights smiled. Tuffy went to talk to Sherbet but before he could say anything she cut him off. "Can it Tuffy." She snapped. He shut his mouth and just stood there awkwardly. Meanwhile, Cookie and Sugar silently flirted with each other. They've been in love for a while, but neither of them have actually admitted it. Frights looked over and saw Firecracker and Valor coming back in.

"Hey coach! I'm sorry we're late. We got stuck in traffic after guard duty." Firecracker said. "Do you think I care about that? You were late without a pass. You get detention." Stripes growled. "What?! Thats not fair!" Firecracker said. Stripes just shrugged. Firecracker was ready to scream at him until someone else showed up. Maple, Alpine, and Glitzy walked up to the coach. "Hello Coach. I am very sorry for being late. I was unaware that I had to escort these two to school today." Maple said. "Oh! Don't even worry about it your majesties. It's fine." Stripes bowed to them. "What?! Seriously?! Is that what this is? You're just biased cause you're a fucking smut!" Firecracker yelled. "You better watch your tone young lady! They are royalty! You should show more respect." He snapped. "Respect!? You're talking to the royal guard right now! I don't see any respect happening!" Firecracker growled. Frights came up to them. "Is there a problem here?" She asked. "He gave us detention for being late but not the smut royals over there!" Firecracker exclaimed. Alpine and Glitzy had already walked away. Frights looked at Stripes. "Sir, this is my royal guard, and I require them to be with me whenever they are not on duty. Surly you understand that a royal such as myself cant be without her guards?" Frights asked innocently. Stripes just stared at them for a moment. He looked at Frights, then Firecracker, and back again. "I suppose so. Just don't be late again." Stripes groaned. "Thank you sir." Frights smiled.

The three of them walked away. "That was amazing." Valor complimented. "You're welcome." Frights said. Just then, Sydney and her girls came back. "Hey coach! We're back. We brought you an energy drink!" Sydney announced. She gave it to him. "Thanks girls." He said. "What?! They skipped class and they don't get a penalty?!" Firecracker exclaimed. Frights slapped her hand over Firecrackers mouth. "Shut up. I can't save you twice." She mumbled. Firecracker rolled her eyes and Frights let her go. Sydney had heard Firecrackers frustration though. "Ha! Sorry not sorry spit! As long as the coach lives in Smot, we're gonna have priority over you." She spat. Valor had to grab Firecracker before she pounced on her. There was nothing Frights could do in this situation. She had no meaningful power over this girl. There was no way she would listen to her. "Leave them alone Sydney." A male voice walked to them. They looked over. "The only reason you get as much slack as the royals do is because the coach likes your ass." The boy said. He was tall, had purple hair, and purple eyes. "Ugh! No one asked you Dakota!" Sydney snapped. "Fuck off Sydney." He said calmly. The girls dragged Sydney away.

"Sorry about that. She's a little full of herself." Dakota turned to the three in front of him. "A little?" Frights asked with a laugh. Dakota smiled and shrugged. "I'm Dakota." He held out his hand. "Frights." She shook his hand. Pablo ran over to the group. "Hey! I've never seen you two around, which means you've never been invited to our party! So I am giving you both a forever welcome pass to our parties." He said. "Dude, we've gone to school together for years. I'm a Smot." Dakota clarified. "Yes I know, but we're extending the invite. So invite your friends, and then sneak on out of that homophobic kingdom of yours, and come party! Bye!" Pablo ran off. Frights laughed at the way Pablo ran and Dakota just shook his head. "Well then. I look forward to seeing you around Frights." Dakota smiled and walked away. Firecracker looked at her confused. "Don't tell me you just fell for a smut." She said. Frights giggled and shrugged. "He was sweet. I don't know. Maybe I did." Frights said.

"Go long!" Skylar threw the football. Frost ran as fast as he could to get it but couldn't catch it. Skylar shook his head in disappointment. "You can do better than that! Come on, let's try again!" He ran over to Frost. Slush walked over to his brother to get his water bottle. He took a long swig of water and as he drank, he glanced over and saw Frights talking to Firecracker and Valor. He choked and nearly spit out his water. Glaze got up and smacked his back to help. "Did it go down the wrong way?" Glaze asked. "Yeah uh... who's that?" Slush asked. He never took his eyes off of Frights, even as she walked away. "That's the princess of Skip." Glaze said. "She's awfully pretty." Slush said in awe. Glazes eyes widened. "Hey! No! Did you not just hear me?! That is the princess of our rival kingdom! You may as well be dead if you fall for her!" Glaze snapped. Slush didn't pay attention. He just watched Frights. Glaze groaned. "Oh god help me. Bro seriously, I'd rather you date Sydney." He said. "If the princess says yes then Sydney won't be a problem for long." Slush smiled. Glaze sighed heavily. "Oh no." He looked down and shook his head.
