-Later that Weekend-

Frights went with Valor on his Saturday outing. "Where are we going again?" She asked. "I'm meeting my friends at the store to help them pick out party supplies. You remember Tuffy and Pablo right?" He asked. "Oh yeah! I keep forgetting to ask my moms about going to that party." Frights said. "Just sneak out. It's what Firecracker and I do. You really think the head guard would let us go? No way." Valor said. "His name is Spike, Valor. And he's actually a nice guy. Just get him some deer jerky. Oh! Or gator jerky. He loves that stuff. That's what my mom got him for his birthday. He's sure to love you then." Frights advised. "Huh. I might just do that. Thanks princess." He said. Frights huffed a laugh. "Valor, you can just call me Frights. Especially in public. I don't wanna seem like some uptight royal bitch." Frights said. "It's just so weird. I've been calling you 'princess' or 'your majesty' since I started my training." He said. "I know, but it's not like I call you guard." Frights joked. Valor chuckled. "I guess that's fair. Why did you wanna come along today?" Valor asked. "Oh! My moms wanted to talk about some sort of ball and I needed an excuse to not hear whatever they want me to do." She said. "It's for me and Firecracker. The ball I mean. We're finishing our training." Valor said. "Really? Wow. I remember when you guys started. Well, I guess I will have to talk to my moms after all then." Frights said.

Valor pulled up to a gas station to refuel. Frights just sat in the car and waited for him to get done. As she waited, someone came out of the gas station and she peeked up to see who it was. She smiled seeing Dakota and got out to say hi to him. Valor kept his eye on her as she walked over to him. "Hey! Dakota!" She called to him. He looked over and smiled. "Hey Frights. Nice to see you again." He greeted. He peered behind her and saw Valor at the gas pump. "That your boyfriend?" Dakota asked. Frights looked back at Valor and then at him. "God no! No we're just friends. What are you doing here?" She asked. "Like I said before, cheaper stuff." Dakota pointed behind him at the gas station. I laughed a little. "You busy today?" He asked her. "Maybe. Why?" She raised an eyebrow. "I was gonna go hate watch a movie if you wanna come with me." He said. "Are our theaters cheaper too?" Frights asked with a smirk. "They're free for someone as beautiful as you." He smirked back. "Hmm, sure then. Why not? Hey Valor! I'll catch up later!" Frights yelled to him. Valor gave her a thumbs up and went back to the car. "Damn girl. You've got quite the volume. It's still booming throughout my ears." Dakota laughed. "I was raised by lesbians. I was born to be loud." Frights shrugged.

When they got to the theater, it was mostly empty. Dakota went the kiosk to pay and Frights looked around. Her eyes got caught at who the worker at the snack bar was. Frights suddenly panicked. "Hey, I'm gonna get us popcorn." She said, and ran over there. The worker leaned over the counter. "Are you on a date right now?!" Sherbet asked in shock. "I'm not sure! Just please don't say anything about my royal status. Ok?" she begged. Sherbet nodded. "Here. On the house." Sherbet gave her some popcorn and Frights. "I can't let you do that. Besides, you're my friend, but thanks." Frights said. She paid just as Dakota came back. "Ready?" He asked. "Yeah. Yeah lets go." Frights said nervously. "Enjoy the show" Sherbet said as she shook her head.

"These graphics are horrible." Dakota sighed. "Yeah, and the plot is kinda lame. Like duh! She's gonna betray him. That's how this shit works. She's literally presented as the villain on the poster!'' Frights said. "Yeah. It's bad marketing. Why watch it at all if there's no twist?" Dakota asked. "Let's make our own twist then. Like, I bet he got abandoned as a kid and now he acts all optimistic and kind because he never got that." I said. Dakota huffed a nervous laugh. "Yeah and she's some royalty figure who's hiding her identity from everyone because she's afraid of what they'll think." He said. Frights looked at him and they both laughed nervously. "Yeah. Wouldn't that be crazy." Dakota looked down. There was a short silence. "I bet the girl is dying to tell him." Frights said. "I bet the guy wishes he didn't live with his cousin." Dakota said. Frights got confused. "He lives with his brother." She said. "Same difference." Dakota shrugged. They looked back at the screen. "I have to tell you something-" The characters said. Dakota and Frights raised an eyebrow. Just then, the characters on the screen admitted to everything they had just made up. Their jaws dropped and they leaned forward in their seats. "What!?" They exclaimed. Dakota and Frights turned back to each other. "This movie sucks." They agreed.

"That was really weird." Dakota laughed as they came out of the theater. "Yeah. No kidding." Frights agreed. They walked in silence for a moment before Frights got a call. It was Firecracker so she hung up, but then Valor called. She hung up again and then her mother called. She sighed and picked up the phone. "Hey mom." She greeted. "Where are you?" Potion asked, in a panic. "I'm just out with a friend." Frights said, staring at Dakota nervously. He just smiled in amusement. "You said you were going out with Valor! If you wanted to go out with your friend, you didn't have to lie. Who is this friend anyway?" Potion asked. Frights panicked even more. "Uh-" She led on. "Potion! You better not have called her!" Shadow yelled in the back. "Shit. I'll talk to you later." Potion hung up. Frights raised an eyebrow at her phone before putting it away. "A friend huh?" Dakota asked. She smiled at him. "Would you rather me say a smut? I'd get murdered if she knew that." She said. He huffed. "No I just... didn't think we were friends." He said. Frights raised an eyebrow. "What are we then?" She asked. Dakota smirked and took a step closer. "What do you wanna be?" He asked. Frights face grew red and she looked to the side. She shrugged. "I don't know. I mean... I like you Dakota." She admitted. He smiled. "I like you too Frights." He told her. "So... friends for now?" She asked him. He nodded. "Yeah. For now." He said. A cop car drove past the theater and Dakota ducked down immediately. "Ok! Time for me to go. I'll see you at school." He said. Frights giggled. "See ya." She said, and he ran off.

Frights got home and slowly creeped through the halls so her moms wouldn't notice. She heard them yelling and ducked down. "I still can't believe what the news said!" Potion exclaimed. "That was days ago babe. And it was the midnight news. No one watches that crap." Shadow said. Potion ignored her. "I didn't tell him off! I just told him no! It's not his fault I'm gay! And now look at us. We're separated and it's my fault!" Potion whined. Shadow sighed. "It's not your fault babe. We've been over this. It's ok. Just breathe." She calmed her wife. Frights didn't understand what they were talking about, but figured it was about time to move. So she ran back to her room.

She ran face-first into Firecracker and Valor. "Ah!" They all got spooked. "There you are. Enjoy your date?" Firecracker crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. Frights panicked and pulled them into her room. "Shut up. Don't say that out loud." Frights shushed her. "I bet you'd love for me to be quiet! Wouldn't want your moms to know you went out with a smut boy!" Firecracker exclaimed. Frights slapped her hand over Firecrackers mouth. Firecracker just raised an eyebrow at her. "Did you have fun?" Valor asked, obliviously. "Yes. I did. Thank you Valor." Frights said as she glared at Firecracker. She just rolled her eyes and pushed Frights off her. "Be careful. We can't protect you from the entire Smot army if this goes wrong." Firecracker said. Frights sighed. "That won't happen, but fine. I'll be careful." She assured her. "You better be." Firecracker huffed.
