"So what do you think of Ashton?" I asked mom nervously when he had left. She sat down at the table and motioned me to do the same. She took my hand across the table and gave it a little squeeze.
"He seems like a nice enough guy." She began and I felt the tension slip out of me. "He's well raised and he doesn't sounds like the guy everyone makes him out to be." She let go of my hand. "If he does anything that makes you feel hurt or uncomfortable, you come to me, understand?" She looked me straight in the eyes.
"Of course." I nodded. "I'll come to you," after I told my friends.

Midnight came around and I still couldn't sleep. I rolled on my side and stared to the closed curtains. Of all the nights I wished Ashton to be here, this would be it. Suddenly my phone screen flashed a bright light. I picked it op from my night stand and squinted my eyes so I could see past the brightness to my screen. One new message from Ashton. Like he could read my thoughts.
How are you? He asked. Always trying for me to be well, never looking out for himself. How can it be that he's changed that much? He isn't the bad boy anymore. Well at least not to me and the twins. But it isn't that bad for all the others in school.
I'm fine, my mom liked you :) I texted back.
I didn't need to know that but nice to know I'm in the good books. I smiled at my screen. Surely if anyone could see me they'd give me crazy looks. Do you want to go out with me in two days? He suddenly asked. Why two days? What would be wrong with tomorrow?
Not wanting to fight I just texted him it was okay.
I'll see you tomorrow princess, plus after school in the locker room? ;). That boy could be one cheeky ass yet I loved him and I'd never let him go.
Of course Daddy. Now please let me sleep. Goodnight xo.
After that I turned off my phone and fell asleep.

In the morning I was woken up by my mom. "Wake up sweetie you have to get to school!" I wish we would've come back a bit earlier. But my mom of course needed to plan a flight the day before school started. Yay. Note the sarcasm. I put on my pierce the veil sweater and black skinnies and vans before walking downstairs. My mom wasn't their meaning she had gone back to sleep. Well I don't mind that means she can't judge me for my eating habits like she did in California.
I threw away the core of my apple before I put on my helmet and stepped on my bike.

At school I walked to my friends, or tried to cause before I got to them Michael and Calum stood in front of me. "Please get out of my way?" I asked nicely but the didn't budge. "I asked it nicely." I said. Calum laughed as Michael answered.
"I'm not moving. I'm only doing what I was told." I scrunched my nose in confusion and stood on the tip of my toes to look around them. But when I moved my head up they did too. When I moved left and right they did the same.
"Why is Ashton letting you idiots keep me from seeing my friends?" I asked as I moved my weight onto my right leg.
"Actually this wasn't Ashton's plan but he's going along with it." Calum said resulting in Michael slapping him.
"Idiot. We weren't supposed to say anything."
"Weren't supposed to say what?" I asked.
"That Ashton and your friends are planning something..." and than my plans went out of the window. Michael and Calum's heads were both slapped and Ash stood behind them.
"What were you planning with Luke and Izzy and why can't I know?" I asked him looking him straight in the eyes.
"I wasn't planning anything. I was talking to Tom from the football team." I frowned and wetted my lips before pointing to the left of me.
"Tom is almost standing besides me Ash." His expression looked shocked for a second before turning back to emotionless. "If you don't want to tell me the truth, fine. Tomorrow is off the hook." I pushed past them only to feel a hand catching my wrist. I looked up into his hazel eyes and felt tears burning in the back of mine. He brushed his thumb over my bottom lip releasing it when I hadn't known I was holding it. "Please don't." He said, his warm breath fanning my face. "Please don't be mad at me."
"Than you shouldn't lie to me."
"But I only want it to be a surprise for you. I don't want you to be mad at me." He repeated pulling me closer. I felt the temptation to kiss him but I turned my face away when he leant down. I pulled myself loose before I turned around and started walking towards the twins.
I stood in front of them with my arms crossed over my chest. "What are you guys planning with Ashton?" I asked them dead serious. They switched looks before they started rambling about all kinds of nothings and that they were talking about why they used to dislike each other. "Stop!" I said. "No slowly, what were you discussing?"
"Nothing." Luke said. "He just asked us why we didn't like him, he was an annoying little dwarf when we were younger, and if we could all get past that." Wouldn't Ash have said that if it was true?
"You hated him because he was an annoying toddler." I stated.
"He only missed his little tiara." Izzy said making us all laugh. I don't know why he didn't tell me but if this was a lie my friends were good actors.
