Chapter 11: Genisis

Riddler pointed to his next target "Battle Fist, you didn't do so well in the first round so hopefully you do better this time. Your next riddle is this, I was there in the beginning, I'll be there in the end. I've seen all and have heard everything known to the universe. What am I?"

Kendo took a shaky breath, the pressure was on as the old picture frames on the walls were slowly pushed off and landing on the ground throwing glass everywhere.

She had already fucked up one riddle so she told herself she couldn't fuck up again, she searched her mind for the answer while keeping in mind the time she had left until they were crushed.

"Wait.....time. The answer was time!" She shouted.

Riddler clapped but this time spoke in an annoyed  tone "Your unfortunately correct, leaving one more riddle for you to win it all."

The Riddler turned to Momo "Creati, it's your turn again, this time your answer must be given in the given time frame, you have 20 seconds on the clock. Are you ready?"

Momo gulped as she looked at the giant monitor above the commissioner with a timer on it, she was extremely grateful for Uraraka's comforting hand on her shoulder "I- I am."

Riddler nodded "Your riddle is this. A rich heiress lives in luxury, her needs are taken care of until she thrown into the outside world. It's then that she realizes her one and only true love, what am I?"

The ravennette panicked as the timer ticked down, her mind raced but couldn't find an answer. When the timer was reached 8 seconds she shouted out something random on impulse.

"IZUKU MIDORIYA!"

"I....I was not expecting that answer, I guess you were speaking from first hand experience?" Asked Riddler teasingly causing Momo to blush and shoot her eyes to the Batman for a moment.

She turned away when she saw the Batman looking right at her, Izuku upon hearing her accidental confession was surprised and had to try really hard to keep himself from accidentally revealing the hacking device.

He didn't stop his fingers from tapping on the screen of his hacking device even while flustered, he did however note down in his mind that he needed to speak with Momo after the exam was over.

The ceiling was about 2 feet from their heads and slowly descending, Izuku tapped faster in response while the Riddler spoke up to his unwilling contestants.

"That wasn't the answer I was looking for so down goes the commissioner once again, hopefully you do better on the next riddle." Responded the Riddler slightly disappointed.

Pulling the lever the commissioner was dunked once more for a full minute, in that time however Izuku had almost finished his hack and with the use of his detective vision found a way to get through the glass and to the commissioner.

The Batman glanced to Kendo and spoke in a whisper to be heard by her and the other girls but not by the villain "I have the bombs almost diffused and have a plan to get through the glass, be ready to move when I do."

Kendo turned to him with hope in her eyes, she didn't give a verbal response in worry that the Riddler would catch on so she gave the Dark Knight a nod with the others doing the same.

"And that's one full minute, next time it'll be a minute and thirty seconds. And I don't know about you all but I don't think the commissioner can handle that due to years of smoking, so be careful with your next answer Uravity." Said Riddler smugly after pulling the disheveled Commissioner out of the water.

The Riddler looked at the live chat and saw some pretty interesting comments "It seems the pubic is raving about that last answer, and I can't really blame them since it came out of no where."
