In the morning, I woke up to the gentle sunlight streaming through the windows, casting a warm, golden glow across the room. The bedroom was peacefully quiet, an unusual but welcome stillness. Normally, little Han would be stirring, signaling his hunger with soft whimpers or cries, but not today. The calm was a serene start to the day.
Turning over, I saw San lying beside me, his eyes still closed in sleep. His fingertips brushed over my leg in a soothing, subconscious motion, a tender habit that always made me feel safe and cherished. I watched him for a moment, taking in the peaceful expression on his face, the soft rise and fall of his chest, and the way the sunlight highlighted the lines of his strong features.
I couldn't help but smile, feeling a swell of love and gratitude for this man who had become my rock, my partner, my everything. The events of the previous night played softly in my mind, a mixture of passion and tenderness that underscored the depth of our bond.
Careful not to disturb him, I gently moved closer, savoring the warmth of his body against mine. His touch on my leg was a constant, reassuring presence, grounding me in the moment. I leaned in, placing a soft kiss on his shoulder, feeling the slight shiver of his skin under my lips.
"Good morning," I whispered, my voice barely audible, not wanting to break the tranquility of the moment.
San's eyes fluttered open, and he smiled sleepily, his hand moving to cup my cheek. "Good morning," he replied, his voice husky with sleep. "How did you sleep?"
"Perfectly," I murmured, leaning into his touch. "How about you?"
"Better than ever," he said, his smile widening as he pulled me closer, our foreheads touching. "Especially waking up next to you."
The intimacy of the moment was heightened by the quiet of the house, the absence of Han's usual morning cries a small mystery. "I wonder where Han is," I mused softly, the thought briefly pulling me from our bubble of closeness.
San chuckled softly at my teasing, his arms tightening around me, a possessive but gentle gesture that spoke volumes of his deep affection and slightly territorial nature when it came to me.
"My parents took him early in the morning to the beach," he murmured, his voice still thick with the remnants of sleep. "It's very warm today, so I helped them pack some things earlier. He was such a happy little baby when he woke up."
I smiled softly, my heart swelling with love for our little family and the life we were building together. "That's wonderful. It sounds like he's going to have a great day."
Then, with a playful glint in my eye, I added, "I'm not sure what to wear today—maybe go out naked?"
San hummed, a sound that vibrated against my skin as he pulled me even closer, his body warm against mine. "Don't you ever joke like that," he said, his voice hoarse and serious, but with a playful undertone that matched my mood. "You know that's only for me."
