Two weeks have flown by since Wonwoo and I tied the knot, and it feels like we've been riding a non-stop wave of joy. We've been buried under a mountain of gifts and swamped with vacation plans, but there's been a deep, soothing calm in knowing that everything is finally falling into place. The entertainment industry has welcomed our union without a hitch, which is more than I could have hoped for. Most importantly, San and Wooyoung seem to have found peace with Joon's situation now that he's safely in a mental hospital. It's a relief to know that chapter is behind us, allowing us all to move forward.
Today, Wonwoo and I have a special plan. We're driving over to San and Wooyoung's to spend some time with little Han, who's become such a joyful part of our lives. We're taking him with us on a two-week vacation, a kind of extended family moon, to really bond and create some cherished memories together.
As I drive towards their house this morning, I can't help but glance over at Wonwoo sitting in the passenger seat. His excitement is contagious; he's practically glowing with happiness, smiling from ear to ear. It makes everything we've been through worth it. Knowing that he's officially mine, and that we're on this incredible journey together, fills me with indescribable joy.
Pulling into the driveway, I feel a flutter of anticipation. The house looks welcoming in the soft light of the morning sun. San and Wooyoung are waiting for us at the door, with Han peeking out curiously from behind them. His face lights up when he sees us, and he toddles forward with an excited squeal as soon as we get out of the car.
I scoop Han up into a big hug, laughing as he babbles happily in my arms. "Look who's here, ready to cause trouble," I tease, giving him a kiss on the cheek, while Wonwoo playfully ruffles his hair.
"We've been looking forward to this breakfast all week," San says, welcoming us inside with a warm smile. The aroma of fresh coffee and pancakes hits me as soon as we enter, making the house feel even more like a home.
As Wooyoung carefully sets little Han into his high chair, the toddler's tiny hands reach out, grasping Wooyoung's hair and pulling him closer. A mischievous grin spreads across Han's face as he plants wet, sloppy kisses on Wooyoung's cheek.
"You can kiss Daddy without pulling my long luscious hair, you realize that, you little trouble," Wooyoung murmurs playfully, his tone light and filled with affection. He gently disentangles Han's fingers from his hair, guiding the tiny hands to clasp together instead, demonstrating a gentler way to show affection.
Han giggles, seemingly pleased with himself, his bright eyes sparkling with delight at Wooyoung's reaction. It's clear he enjoys the playful interaction, his laughter ringing out warmly in the room, adding to the morning's cheerfulness.
Wonwoo and I watch the scene, our hearts swelling with love for the little family moment unfolding before us. It's these everyday interactions, so full of care and teaching, that remind me how much Wooyoung loves being a parent. His patience and playful scolding, mixed with his undeniable affection for Han, paint a perfect picture of the nurturing environment Han is growing up in.
